real men don't have health insurance because real men dont go to the doctor. If we get shot we pour some whiskey on it and pull the bullet out ourselves
if you have good insurance from your job it probably means you have a lady job like schoolmarm, male nurse, gay hairdresser etc

What was “stupid” is you democrats pushing Obamacare on the American people. If you want to know what stupid looks like, you leftist need to get a mirror. We are here because of what you did and supported way back in 2010

Family of 6 here, we pay over $3k a month. Why?
-Because frick me for making more money than most.
-Also, frick me for owning a small-business, and dont get me started on what I used to be able to provide my employees, vs what I can offer now (that costs more and covers less).
So your $700 a month feels exactly as it was designed to feel by the people who created it, but GTFOH with the notion that this is in any way better than what we had in 2010.

I don’t know anyone on the planet that pays 700 per month for a family of 5. Maybe 700 a paycheck unless you are poor and on Obamacare. I don’t believe you.

Where’d you get that? My subsidized policy is $1200

That's a lot dude. That same coverage would have cost you half that before Obamacare.

We have an awful system and a group of morons who defend it to the death
We do now thanks to Barack Hussein Obama. Private health insurance through an employer was pretty damn great up until about 2015.
Since then my premiums have more than doubled, deductibles have more than quadrupled, and I’ve had to change primary doctors twice because they went to paid membership practices. Know why? Because they weren’t making money.
Healthcare is not health insurance, you morons need to understand that. Do you know who was excluded from healthcare before Obama introduced his disastrous “plan”? The answer is absolutely no one, not a single person was denied healthcare.
Obama’s plan was designed to crash the system as it was, and that’s exactly what happened.

Is that supposed to be some sort of a bargain? That shite is insane
$700.00 a month premium for family of 5 is cheap. Which company is the insurer?
Posted on 9/30/25 at 8:41 pm to PurpleSingularity
So what you are saying is you are lying and have no insurance that you actually pay for

Who are these people that don’t have affordable healthcare?
bottom line is Democrats want free healthcare for illegal immigrants... those that vote will obviously keep on voting for freebies

I’ve never understood how people don’t have affordable quality healthcare. In my industry, people jump around a lot and so have I. I’ve had numerous positions with various employers, and out of probably the last 6 or 7 employers, there was only 1 that didn’t offer affordable healthcare (under $600/month for my family of four), 2 that offered it for free for me and a pretty good price for my family, and the rest have all been under $600/month for all of us. Split between two pay periods a month that’s ~$300 a check. That’s not bad.
Some people are self employed, so they have to pay for everything.
Do people not understand employer sponsored healthcare is subsidized by their employer?

How much does your company cover?
Me and the wife pay about $1600 a month for just us 2 it’s “premium” coverage
Group policies are wonderful, but not everyone has the luxury of one.

you know anyone that works at a chemical plant or refinery (not a contractor but plant employee)? Monthly premium for really good coverage for family is actually less than 700/month (down here in South Louisiana, dont know about other states...)
