I live in a city that literally can't function.

Just totally ridiculous. Lives mean nothing. Responsibility means nothing. It just descends more and more into chaos.

Talking about Jackson.

Kingfish. Please consider leading the fight that has to be fought. A child is dead because of the gross incompetence of the city leadership.

I will fight with you but you need to lead this.

That happening was a tragedy.

Subsequent accidents happening because no one replaced the manhole is a farce.

Go into the OT and there’s a picture of the scene. There’s literally a traffic barrel with a sign reading “fricking fix this” taped to it.

It's more than the Mayor. It's a whole culture.

If they elected this racist piece of trash, they need to resolve their own problem during the next election. Good Lord, you would think they'd know what they were getting since the idiot's father served there.

I don't think you understand what the real problem is.

You do realize this won’t change no matter what we say or do right? They have proven time and again that they are unable to be introspective and take accountability. Best to just pack up and come to Madison.

Twenty year solution at best.

In the 1990s, North Jackson was the retreat. Now Northpark and the surrounding neighborhoods are iffy.

Twenty years from now, Madison will be trouble.

We have a great buffer in Madison in that we do not allow rentals. No apartment complexes of any kind. But we are going to be squeezed by Canton and Ridgeland, I agree.

I’m amazed Rankin County has held up for as long as it has. Might be the Pearl River barrier.
