I have never owned a gun, but thinking of purchasing an AR15

And a 9mm pistol to protect my wife, myself and my property

You need a gun for home defense = AR15
and you need a gun for conceal carry = 9mm

I think we've seen a dynamic shift in thinking about firearms since Sandy Hook. That was the best chance they had to get a ban through and it didn't happen. But still be alert.

AR-15 is a great rifle to hog hunt with. It’s also a solid choice for protection from tyrannical government.
