I'm at a conference in Orlando. (BTW) drove out to the coast this morning to watch the SpaceX launch. Pretty cool.) Before Trump was elected, all three of the persons at dinner with me have worked with me since 2015. All were New York Never-Trumpers.

At dinner, it wasn't until the liquor flowed a bit, and they loosened up, that I asked them, "How's your 401k doing?"

All three: "Great! Awesome! I might actually get to retire."

So... I had set the bait. Then I said, "You better take your wins, now. If Trump is impeached and Dems win the Presidency, what do you think is going to happen to your gains?"

Different statements from all three, (paraphrasing),
quote:

"I was dead set against him becoming president, but I think he's done a really good job."[/quote[quote]"I wish he's stop tweeting, but you can't really argue with the results."
quote:

"I will probably hold my nose and vote for Trump, but I won't tell my neighbors. I don't know what they think, but everyone was just so anti-Trump in the last election I don't want anyone mad at me for voting for him this time."
One guy is about 38 years old. His response:
quote:

"I don't know what it is about Trump, and why I didn't buy in before, but he sees how to get things done in ways that nobody would do before. He just throws the power of the U.S. into everyone's face. He may be a bully, but he's our bully, I guess. And it's working. So as long as it's working and the economy does as well as it is, I don't see any reason to change course."
His second response:
quote:

"For the first time in my adult life, I don't feel like we're constantly at war. It's really sort of a weight off the country's shoulders to be kind of at peace, you know?"
So there you have an example of three New Yorkers, all Dems. Each was a never-Trumper. All three plan to vote for Trump.

2020 is going to be an epic landslide, boys.

I suspect a lot of independents and middle of the road voters are now feeling exactly the same way.

Also examples of people who will lie to pollsters, causing the Dem numbers to be exaggerated.

And the hate and vitriol from the left against Trump voters is the exact reason why the secret ballot exists.

Did your Dem friends expect you to pay for the dinner?

None of them quipped “What’s Trump got to do with my 401k?”

Not sure you have been around here long enough to have seen me around, but there's enough posters around here who do know me, personally, and what I do, that I really don't have any concern about your opinion of whether what I write is factual, embellished or entirely fictional.

Fact is, one of the reasons I work at what I do is my ability to write and tell a complete and factual chronology of events from meetings, investigations and intelligence briefings that I participate in. So, if my writing style seems "too good to be true" to you, it may be only because you're likely accustomed to the usual, short and flippant responses that most write.

Truthfully, sometimes "less is more", but when I write I like to paint a picture of events as they unfolded before me. That's all.

The USA has turned into a soap opera/Jerry Springer episode.

At the end of the day, are we better off than before DJT took office? Very simple question with a simple answer.

Don’t care if it’s a D or a R running the show. We should ALL strive to live in a results-based world. Glad to see some folks are ignoring the juvenile behavior in Congress & taking notice of what is real...then go vote accordingly.

Also will not say so in polls, that's why all polls were wrong in 2016 and will continue to be wrong. People are afraid to say they are pro trump.

You also have assholes like me who answer polls completely untruthfully out of principle.

I enjoy well written prose. While at NASA I inherited the task of proofing inputs from a number of contributors and molding it into a ‘single author’ appearance as well as making sure all the technical points were well reasoned.

Made for many long days but I sort of enjoyed it. Especially since I was a major contributor and had my name on it.

On here I like to make sure I express my options so there is no fuzz on my logic.

The wife and I watched a New Jersey liberal woman flip out on the train one night coming back from the city. She was talking to another woman who mentioned that Trump isn't that bad and her 401k is doing great. The NJ bitch lost her shite, told her that Trump is a crook, that's not really her money and a bunch of other stuff. The 401k lady got up and left. The NJ crazy turned to the black guy across the aisle and started telling him how she's richer than the chick who left, and that woman's a racist, etc., etc. I was gonna interject but the wife wasn't having it. Pretty entertaining, though.

I keep saying the MSM is vastly underestimating the amount of support Trump has...not just in flyover country but everywhere. Even if you dislike Trump, nobody wants these socialist loons wrecking the economy.

Dude, I get it.. my work with NASA, the SpaceX program, Boeing and many others requires that write white papers or do exactly as you described; taking the collaborative works of others and presenting it as a single voice.

Edit, edit then edit again. Finally, edit one last time and then ask for a review by someone else to make sure nothing can be misinterpreted or misconstrued.
