how do you feel about the top few dozen companies paying no tax?
So who spends this “untaxed” money? Is there no capital gains tax on stocks cashed out? Do these companies not pay payroll tax, their employees pay income tax, sales tax collected on every purchase from money they were already taxed on?
Do you just mean overall profit of the corporation isn’t taxed?

how many billions a year is enough for the space tourists?
Are you talking about NASA? Investment in space exploration created many of the things you use on a daily basis, and is a drop in the bucket compared to the welfare state budget.

unlike the trump tax cut that costs us all interest on the trump debt the dems plan to pay as we go.
Revenue is up to almost $3.9T.
WE...HAVE...A...SPENDING...PROBLEM.
Americans (individuals and businesses) are NOT undertaxed. Period. Full stop.

1. I hate taxes
2. I know it opens the door to slide the scale down to eventually get to upper middleclass and middle middleclass
3. I know the ultra wealthy could afford it, but that goes against #1 and #2
4. If there was a legitimate threat to the fortunes of the wealthy say assets >$10mm, would that force their hand to fund campaigns counter to the establishment and AOC/ Bernie types.
What would it take for those with the means to get involved?
We see it with the left with the Soros funded DA's and Judges.
Should Republicans play the game of funneling fedgov dollars to right wing "non profit" activist groups as a means of counter activism?
Those with most means are already involved. Look over the Forbes 400 list, at the very top - then tic off the names you recognize (or their companies/sources of wealth) that are the very motherfrickers bringing conservatives (and the sane segment of the middle class) everything from censorship and Covid mandates to open borders and BLM.
The question conservatives need to ask themselves is this - are you willing to use the tax code like a politica sledge hammer, like the Left does (and like Donald Trump did)?
IMO - the reason these assholes feel untouchable is they have frick you money hundreds of times over. And even though conservatives/the middle class (and upper-middle class) haven't figured it out yet, the asset-class figured it out several years ago - - - their biggest risk/concern is the middle class and those lower than them on the economic ladder figuring out that they are actually on the same team in the economic/class war that has been declared by the uber-wealthy/corporatists on the rest of us.

the objective is to pay for new programs.
I’m of the opinion we already have too many government programs, especially if you count the redundant ones.
Another problem I have is that I don’t have much say exactly what new programs are created even though I pay taxes. I could stand more taxes ( to a point) if we the people got more bang for the buck.

AOC went to a party of super rich people wearing the "tax the rich" dress and they all laughed about it.
That's how sincere it is.

I believe the really, really, really rich don't even need money, (as we peons recognize it). They measure "wealth" differently and would never even be listed on such a list.
Their "wealth" is POWER over who does, or does not, make it onto the list. Taxes mean nothing to them.

After seeing all the tax shelters and scams the wealthy do to pay ZERO tax while sponsoring the fools that run around yelling "eat the rich" and "tax the rich", I have grown to want to make sure they are taxed by ending all their damn loop holes and having maximum prison time applied to them for skirting the intent of the law.
There are some serious mfers in elected positions and in Wall Street and other wealth dungeons.

Raising the tax rates on all corporations to get some yo pay more isn’t the way to handle things. Instead they should change the tax code that gives them the write offs and loopholes.
And if you raise the rates in everybody snd you don’t close the loopholes, the same companies are still going to skate like they are now.

Why is it that ifricking democRATS ALWAYS want to add a taxes, raise your taxes, tax the rich, corporations, etc…..
Why can’t the fricking government for once cut back on expenses and stupid, worthless programs?! Tired of this bull shite

I think it gets branded as tax the rich but the practical people are clamoring for reduced tax write-offs, loops holes, credits etc. which we give out that make our ridiculously high rate effectively extremely low for some. while it crushes others. simplicity vs complexity would go a long way here.

A company can’t pay a tax. Only an individual can.

If they can't make things work with the taxes they bring in now, what makes anyone think more tax revenue will solve anything?

This has to be a mistake, right? You can't be under the impression that republicans don't do this.
