Any able-bodied adult receiving any form of welfare should be required to submit pay stubs that show they've been working at least 40 hours a week. I'm fine with helping people who contribute to society.
But if they can't prove they're working full-time hours somewhere, then they need to be forced to make up the weekly hour difference by doing community service.....picking up trash on the side of highways, cleaning up public parks, painting over graffiti, etc

Seriously? The past government was more than happy to have them here.
They come here and get free food, free hosing, free phones, etc and they get to live in the US and not some shite hole in Africa.
As others have said, the entire system needs to be reformed. Immigration, welfare, etc.
Not a single illegal or legal immigrant should be receiving a dime of help from the country. If you can't or won't work, get the frick out. If you can't afford to buy food, then starve or go back to your home.

We all know it is. The real question for Democrats is to what extent, and to what extent is acceptable?
And it is SUPER clear that Democrats abuse social welfare programs for votes. That is also an undeniable fact. Now again, as a conservative, I do think social programs are important.... to an extent. But the problem is that human nature doesn't like that limit, and Democrats exploit that willingly.
