I had a shop owner explode on me today, insofar as a passive aggressive person can.

The man was having a meltdown.

Commendable, but give me five minutes of you not sticking your head in the sand and you will be freed from believing this fallacy that masks will protect you.

No outrage here. I just...

1) aside from having each person’s own separate AIr supply suit that recycles mine and yours emissions aside from that i don’t think they do a damn thing.

2) if I’m sick I stay home

3) I really don’t give a shite about anyone else or their feelings

I’m very high risk too.
I wear a mask, per doctor’s orders.
I would never expect others to wear a mask in order to protect me—but I’m certainly grateful for anyone who does!

I do too but I don’t think wearing a mask carries anywhere near the same political impact of stay at home orders, putting folks out of work, and running up “stimulus” debt. If wearing a mask lessens the justification for those things happening then I’ll wear my mask. When it is proven that the masks don’t help then I’ll stop, but unfortunately collectively we haven’t tested the mask wearing enough to come to a logical conclusion on their effectiveness yet.

But it is Government's. Even in Texas. It's unfortunate that the inner city population in Texas didn't listen, because they are a critical at risk group. But for these people, BLM and ANTIFA protests were more important than the overall health their Minority community. So now we all have to pay. It's not that big of a deal in rural or suburban areas.

I agree with most stuff on here, but I don't get the political stand with the masks either. This is not a great battle to pick and it hurts credibility with other conservative/moderate causes. Think of it like this, even before COVID you could not walk around naked in public, so there is precedent for the govt telling you what you have to wear. And this is just temporary.

Want to mandate everyone wear masks whenever they're out of their homes? You're super duper sure they work well enough to prevent spread in most cases now? Okay, fine. Then how about also opening everything back up to normal at the same time?

But all of this political so that isn't happening.

Because our boneheaded leader can’t see 3 steps ahead of fat belly. The virus has become a political weapon, but it’s real..which is even more dangerous. There’s solid evidence that citizens wearing masks in public slows the spread of this and other germs significantly. Basically, your dirty whore mouth is a death zone.

What the hell does being naked have to do with making someone wear a mask? They obviously aren't the same. One is a social norm protected by a current law and one is gov overreach. Dumb comparison.

Fauci said the virus was over anyways when it was riot season. So it’s really a moot point.

Asked? Nobody is getting mad at that. People are getting rightfully upset at being forced.

Not looking for a confrontation but exposing yourself to children isn't quite the same as being mandated to wear a mask.

You can search and find plenty of articles by doctors and what not presenting a case for either side. Nothing definite.

It is fear mongering in my opinion, pure politics.

If they said we all should go nude as a matter of "public Safety", would that be "too far"?

Edit; Damn, I thought I had an original thought.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

And we have a winner, folks!

We call this, personal responsibility with a side of liberty.

I can only speak for myself. i will not wear a mask. i happened to go to the mall today was stopped by a mall security guard and was told it was a requirement to have a mask on to be in the mall.

i actually didnt know that so She gave me a mask. i thanked her and walked immediately out of the mall, without putting it on.

i wasnt angry..i just wont go back to the mall.
