I think you’re the one living under a rock. You need to quit watching CNN. Is that how this works?

ETA: and I work at Walmart. I’ve seen ALL the Karens. The vast majority are the scoff at anyone not wearing a mask type.

Unfortunately NOT in Mobile County, and City of Mobile Alabama.

The Marxist totalitarians have attempted to seize control when they passed an ordinance mandating wearing masks in public joining Jefferson County/Birmingham, Jacksonville, FL; Tuscaloosa, AL; other cities with significant internal numbers of Marxist totalitarians.

You’re not on some moral high ground by choosing to wear a mask. You’re somewhat similarly statistically likely to be killed or kill someone with your car as you are to catch Coronavirus and die. It would appear that it would be less likely that you would give it to someone else and they would die.

The fact that everyone feels this enormous pressure to shame others into wearing a mask is exactly why people are pushing back on this.

Another point, if someone has life-limiting conditions, that sucks. But I don’t care. I can’t. I do not have the capacity - literally - to consume myself with other people’s problems. Anyone who says that they do is lying. So if you have a peanut allergy, that’s probably not super fun. But I’m not going to live my life consumed by anxiety over my effect on someone else’s peanut allergy. It’s nonsense to ask me to.
