Fast food was great because it excelled at 2 of the 3 things

It was either Fast, Cheap, or the food is Good

Now it's now longer fast or cheap and the food still sucks

So why is the drive through packed everyday on my way home from work? I know it's not as simple as fat and lazy American's, but that's where I'd start pointing some fingers.

Hey pissed off, middle aged poli-board phaddies. I just paid 7.99 for a whopper combo meal. That shite was good too.

Right?

No... I was told it was just greedy corporations here "price gouging us."

Also, to what degree? And on what? I would be willing to bet we have some of the highest inflation in the first world, if not the highest. Printing trillions of dollars we don't have to fund proxy wars and spoil tens of millions of illegals with luxury, as well as erasing American energy independence by punishing the oil/gas industry and publicly telling them you want to end their industry completely in 10 years comes at a very high cost.

shite is ridiculous

And this is the really fricked up thing. It's not even all that cheap to cook yourself and eat in anymore... Unless you just want to eat ramen, rice and potatoes.

Quit trying to be a troll. There is no way you can be this stupid and actually think it’s a good idea for Kamala Harris to be the President of the United States of America. It’s not believable that anyone with a hint of intelligence would vote for her. Do you have a hint of intelligence? I’m skeptical of your posts. I think you can’t be as stupid as you present yourself on here.

TDS is fricking real, dude. Very real. All they focus on is "Trump is literally Hitler," and "dangerous," and he's "going to lock us up and put us in concentration camps." These mentally ill nut jobs actually believe this shite.

Severely overrated and overpriced.

I've heard they have the best fish sandwich in the business.

But the point of this thread is that you have to lower your standard of living just to get close to breaking even. If we keep this trajectory, that cup of water might become a luxury because they’ll charge you for the paper cup.

Water instead of iced tea, sharing fries instead of having the whole order is definitely lowering standard to make fast food more affordable, only a matter of time before they start charging for water.

frick Wendy’s. Posted this in March on the OT. Haven’t been back and won’t be back.

Hadn’t eaten at a Wendy’s in years and grabbed two junior bacon cheeseburgers from there the other day. When did they turn into the size of a Krystal burger? That place is essentially the price of Five Guys now just like it’s cheaper to go to Chipotle than Taco Bell. College me would be pissed paying those prices. Fast food has forgotten their place. They’re all terrible for you and now they have the audacity to charge higher prices, wild.

When was that? Certainly that was part of some promotion and not apples to apples with whatever you just paid.

JBCs were 99 cents in the early 2000s. Many a pregame meal were had at Wendy’s before binge drinking at house parties

Cheeseburger that used to be 99 cents is now $3.59. I was hungry, but not paying that for that burger. This is insanity. Oh and my power bill is astronomically higher now than it used to be.

Should have just ordered the 4 for 5 and got a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger fries 4 nuggets and a coke.

The JBC is a Krystal burger size now. It’s laughable.

The spicy chicken combo, just regular size, was over $10.50 last month. It's insanity.

So the average folk in Louisiana can’t afford milk, bread, and gas but 40k LSU fans spent an average of 3 days in Las Vegas this weekend and partied like rockstars.
I’m supposed to believe the economy sucks?

They are all 55+ that have saved money their whole life and worked their way up the ladder so they can have fun vacations and excursions every once in a while. The broader economy has nothing to do with it. You know this. You know that you know this.

Chinese food is still a good deal, especially at this place...$13.99 can feed you for 2 days. They have 4 locations in SoCal.
