Yea I do, my dad lost his business because of it.

So by your logic, your dad is also a scumbag because his business or him personally filed for bankruptcy? Might want to recheck your words baw

These things would've bothered me 5 years ago. For some reason I thought that people in charge should be great moral people. The reality is that even if you think a person is wholesome, he could be a scumbag behind closed doors.
Vote for the person who's actions in the job you elected him to are most in line with your beliefs. Trying to find a goody-two-shoes who also gets things done is a hopeless endeavor.

That said, it does still bother me a bit that trump clearly was a rich kid who's connections got him out of the draft. But he was basically just a kid then and didn't have much say in the matter probably. And rich kids dodging the draft wasn't a rare occurrence by any stretch anyway.

That's between him and her. She forgave him undoubtedly. You ever did anything sinful in your life" Remember, there's no ranking in importance of which sin is worse.

Vote Rs. Let Congress pass a bill.
This.

Let Just say that you believe (as I do) that the 14th amendment does not mandate “birthright citizenship.” That simply means that there is no constitutional guarantee of citizenship.

This does not mean that Congress cannot pass a law regarding citizenship, which they have done. An EO Cannot overlride a statute passed by Congress.

One of the things I detested about BHO was his willingness to bypass traditional methods for enacting legislation (Legislating by Executive Order). I cannot in good faith support DJT for doing similar things.

Look on the bright side, all these years that you thought your dad was an all around scumy dude, you actually just didn’t know Jack shite. Because of Trump, you can see your dad through a new light. Thanks GEOTUS

Trump is notorious for his treatment of subcontractors.

Of course, everyone knows this and many still did business with the dishonest bastard. Hard to have much sympathy.

This thread had potential but veered off into 'why do you hate Trump' land.

OP, what is it that you don’t like about birthright citizenship? I don’t either but if you lean left I’m interested in your viewpoint.

It seems most are just against birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants. I happen to agree. I've got no problem with it for legal immigrants.

Yeah. Because that would be counter to what the majority of the court is supposed to stand for and that's a strict interpretation of the Constitution, and in this case, the powers of the branches of government since the EO itself would clearly be outside the powers of the executive branch, irrespective of the issue itself.

So regardless of that they would decide on birthright citizenship, since it's been a debated issue for 150 years, ruling in favor of an abuse of power via EO would be a major disappointment after adding the likes of Gorsuch in the court.

They won't rule in favor of it though, so that's really a moot point anyways.

Well that's the debate here, the ambiguity of the interpretation. Even Jonathan Turley said tonight that the situation should be addressed. Like he said, there's five words in there that need clarification. He's pretty wise so I'll side with his opinion over yours.
