“I don’t give a frick” might as well be “I’m really fricking angry at my situation and I’m having a very hard time figuring out how or if I will ever feel good again. I see no reason to play along with your proper society bc I don’t believe in it. So frick off or I will gain some short term satisfaction by hurting you. I kind of think you’re the reason I feel this way.”

You're seeing the endstages of populism with them.
Black people have it better in the west than they EVER have in the history of the whole world.
But populism demands unreasonable degrees of discontent. It's the grist for the whole mill.
So black people who have exactly zero impediments to success in the west (other than the negative stereotypes that they mostly impose upon themselves) are angrier and more anti-social than black people 70 years ago who actually had something to complain about.
Populism is a game of "Us vs Them" and black people have been playing that game longer than anyone else in the country. All populist will eventually arrive at where they are now.
Populism will end society. At some point everyone will be unhinged and paranoid and unreasonably outraged and no one will trust anyone else or any authority to hold it together.
Probably won't happen in my lifetime, but I wouldn't rule out the absolute possibility of it. My kids, on the other hand...

I struggle to figure out what’s even wrong with digging in with this us vs them mentality. It’s needed, imo. Desperately needed. And the “them” in this equation have chosen to be my enemy. I didn’t wake up and want the left to do what they’re doing. And I didn’t ask my fellow citizens to help them.

Power and ego. When you get enough wealth where more wealth doesn’t satisfy you, some crave the power that wealth can bring. Also greed makes it where they don’t want anyone else below them succeeding and being a potential competitor to them, so they seek to destroy the system they used to succeed in order to pull the ladder up behind them. The demographic that is most individualistic and freedom thinking and most likely to rebel against the elite trying to pull up the ladder is the white middle class and upper middle class. So by bringing in low IQ third world people they can maintain power by diluting the white middle class political power, pit the groups against each other, and eventually replace the white worker with the cheaper and more obedient foreigner they can control and who is happy with their meager lot in life that the elite was oh so nice to provide to them.
It will eventually backfire on them if history tells us anything. When you give the third worlders a taste of middle class life they’ll start wanting more and are way more prone to violence than the white middle class. They’ll storm the elites by the thousands and burn it all down. It’s why colonialism failed in Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

Turns out there was actually sound logic in segregation and wasn’t driven as much by hate or ignorance but a realization that we are so different it’s better and more peaceful if we simply avoid each other. And yes people point out facilities for blacks weren’t at nice, but was that because they were built worse or because blacks tend to not take care of their own stuff and expect whitey to maintain it for them on our dime
ETA I’m not advocating for bringing it back, just pointing out seeing this behavior over and over that it makes one understand the reasoning. I do believe however that private businesses need to be allowed to discriminate. You can refuse a white trash meth head from a nice restaurant but try to do that to a group of ghetto loud mouth black people
