So what's the argument you're referencing? Since Palestinians "haven't had control of their own nation' makes them less human?

No. What a straw man.

The land belong to God and He gave it to Israel. Case closed.

A long time. What does that matter? It's never been their state. They're just a collection of various ethnicities (and religions) who happened to migrate into that area prior to certain imperial occupations.

There has never been a "Palestine" to free.

They didn't as of 1867.
quote:

On Palestine

“ ...[a] desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds-a silent mournful expanse....A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action....We never saw a human being on the whole route....There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of the worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”

- 1867 (Quoted in Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad. London: 1881)
Not long after that time, circa 1890, the Zionist movement started and the Jews returned and reinvigorated the place. Soon the Palestinians wanted it back - even though they never had it, it was part of the Ottoman Empire at that time.

Answer the question then, Mr. High n Mighty. What's the argument? I'll rephrase, what is the point of the post?

Guys "identify" as women, it doesn't make it so, and Palestine was never an independent country

Which, of course you were wrong. Then, you put it on the political board anyway, for which, again, you were wrong. Pretty routine stuff.

I kid. But only as to the sarcastic tone. The rest remains as a matter of fact.

So that means they deserve to be tormented, have their homes razed, have their utilities rationed, etc? What does it matter if they had enough weapons to violently overthrow a government? They're human beings.

Many ethnic groups haven't subscribed to Western ideas of violently occupying lands to form nation states that still exist as a people, particularly indigenous people. You're just perpetuating this colonizer perspective of "It's only your land if you kill all the previous inhabitants and stab the ground with your colorful fabric."

"Palestine" never existed and there is no "Palestine" to "free".

This is a political topic, especially given current events.

Neither was Inuit. Do you also preach the nonexistence of Inuit people?

Palestine is as much of a country in the Middle East as Acadiana is a state in America.

It just doesn't exist in terms of a state. It just a region to describe culture and ethnicity.

You're changing the discussion, now, like that other guy.

Nowhere in my OP did we discuss what I just quoted.

quote:

Based on a survey of human history, it matters a great deal.

Note: for most of the last 2000 years, the area was ruled by Muslims. If you just look at the post-Roman era, it's the vast majority.

Western colonialization of the area (to which I include the current iteration of "Israel") is only about 100 years of that 1400 year, post-Roman timeframe.

quote:

Many ethnic groups haven't subscribed to Western ideas of violently occupying lands to form nation states

Well lucky for us, the Arab-Muslim ethnic group 100% subscribes to this idea

It's funny that you label this cultural value, which is about 1500 years old and 1000 years older than "Western values" to the West...somehow.

You can't be this stupid. Violent conflicts to occupy lands isn't a "western idea". It's an idea as old as time.
