Functionally what this means is that we are moving to a Patron system where the talent pipeline will move via the Equality and Belonging networking groups (I've suspected this is already happening) with zero roadblocks to keep out insufficiently talented applicants.

We haven’t hired a white person in 2 years. We should just but a banner on our ads “White people don’t waste your time we only hire non-whites”.
I weep for this country.

Subtract one DV. I made a mistake on my vote!
But it was a diverse vote...

Do you hire people often? What size company?

Like we're now seeing with white supremacy and hate crimes, the demand for diversity in the workforce will far outweigh the supply. What are we going to do when we run out of blacks and trannies to hire/promote?

Okay, so in general I agree with the removal of degree requirements for many jobs.
HOWEVER, what this looks like in practice for many jobs at my company is a soup of word salad in the job description.
quote:
Job: Quality Specialist (E-Comm)
Who you are: Dynamic change agent who loves to solve problems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Quality Analysis
Specialization Anlaysis
E-Comm Analysis
Obviously this is over the top, but this is the shite they write up for two different jobs: one that pays 32k in the Bay Area and the other that pays 132k in New York City. The listings are so insanely devoid of description so as to not offend applicants that might not be qualified that I'm not sure how anyone, let alone an outside applicant would actually know what the job does and what skills are necessary.
Not only is it incredibly inefficient, it's embarrassing.
And in just the last two years I've seen a surfeit of new HQ positions open and staffed by CC grads and career secretaries, mostly in the HR dept which was easily doubled or tripled in size while other depts have radically downsized.

why not just hire the best person for a job and screw all that other useless stuff?
This, I have never seen anyone say I need to hire a white guy! Business men hire the best person so they can make them more profitable. Skin color, gender and sexual preference has nothing to do about this!

I hired a black man this week. He has 25 years experience, referrals from a couple of very well respected former employees, wants to train the next generation of people in his area of expertise and will fill an extremely critical role for us for some undetermined period of time. His skin color was several feet off the page of reasons why we extended the offer. If we all were allowed to hire that way this world would be a much better place.

Seems like a very good formula for making a company rot from the inside.

I guess you think PMBOK is racist because they require 7500 documented hours for PMP certification?

Did they send out a company notice of all this to save? These 2 kind of sound for a discrimination lawsuit in the making if you are a white male

Chavez turned the state oil company into a jobs program for his poorest supporters (along with some cronies). It fell apart very quickly.

Why do you believe the courts would side with a white plaintiff?

This^^^ should be #1 because it’s the absolute dumbest shite I’ve seen or heard of for determining if someone is capable of filling a position.
I can see foregoing a degree if an individual has a shite ton of job experience.
