I agree with Zuby. A lot of people are choosing the side of evil because it’s easier.

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.“ -Matthew 7:13-14

Kinda on point I guess re: easy = lazy
There are like 792,426 different takes as to what's going on and why, but of all those, I would agree that laziness aka taking the easy route is a very strong factor. By laziness I mean setting up a system for someone or something else doing your thinking and opinion making for you, ya know, a life hack. Hell pretty much all other necessities in life are available by barely lifting a finger.....groceries shipped or delivered to your door, services that select a wardrobe for you and ship it to your door, some random person can even go pick up McDonald's for you so you don't have to sit your arse in a drive thru line.
Then there's the whole push by the left to allow everyone the opportunity to never have to actually go in to work. You basically don't have to leave your house if you don't want to, and have everything you once had to go out and consider options and procure it yourself. I guess it's only natural that thoughts and opinions are also available for delivery, having been chosen for you by another person.

Indeed they are. I have always been uniquely obsessed with evil at large because I realize that hundreds of millions of normal people throughout history have been convinced to go along with, excuse, or surrender to this:
I do think I carefully understand it, and we are now living in a genocidal world. Being evil or complacent to it is easier. I’ve come to the conclusion that while many of my friends wouldn’t be Nazis, they’d rat out their neighbors if they suspected they were hiding Jews.
“Hey, I know it’s fricked, but they knew hiding Jews was illegal. They’ll be thrown in camps, but I won’t have me and my family thrown in them as well if the Gestapo remotely suspects I knew this. It’s horrible, but rules are rules.”
We’re finding out who the cowards are, and I hate cowards more than I hate evil people. At least I know what I’m up against with evil people. Cowards will accept any level of evil so long as it spares them. I really, really, really hate cowards.

And millions have been killed by the evil of communism that the mentally ill sheep in this country beg to be implemented.

Mick Jagger needs only to write another lyric to Sympathy for the Devil.
I laughed in times
When the sheep did bleat
At a plague ...that was laid
Falsely at their feet
Pleased to me you,...hope you guess my name
Oh what’s puzzling you... is the nature of my game

He's right. There are many who are always going to choose the path of least resistance no matter where it leads. Especially left wingers

In times like these a lot of people talk about religion and spirituality but it’s obviously they really don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s painfully obvious they only think about religion or spirituality in time s of strife.
They don’t know God.
They don’t know God.

Spiritual warfare is the conclusion millions of not- particularly- religious people have reached . It’s pretty easy when depravity is not only tolerated, but then celebrated and now mandated. America has the dark sickness. If you can’t see it you are probably infected.

When it said money is the root of all evil, it meant it. It all ties back to that. The conservatives / Christians don’t want to fight and lose what they have , $$$.
