How so? Do explain. Where is my lack of understanding and how is this a fake story? Oh wait you won't actually answer that because you don't have a argument.

I’ll gladly answer. You are ignorant to proceduren in immigration matters. You are ignorant as to how the summons process works. You are ignorant as to who has the responsibility to make sure contact information is current.

This dude illegally entered the US as a teenager. He was given a temporary parole in place designation. He failed to keep the court informed of his address. He has a criminal record. The court served a summons on the address he had provided. He missed his court date.

You blame ICE. That is because you are ignorant, as I originally stated, and you get your opinions and bias confirmed by fake news from CNN

You are just thebuseful idiot they are looking for.

What criminal record is that?
The one CNN probably failed to mention because it would bust the narrative of their entire existence.
So you have zero information regarding a “criminal record” and were just blowing smoke generated by your misinterpretation of the immigration term d’art “parole in place.”

Not to anyone in the immigration system. Of course, you don’t know why. CNN didn’t tell you that.

This is bullshite. It's your responsibility to find out your court date. If you or I don't show up for whatever reason a warrant will be sworn out for your arrest.

Now someone I actually respect says this. Where have you seen it? Because it is not in the OP’s article.

You will note from the article that the reporter DID seek comment from ICE, and they declined to provide it.

I'm not misinterpreting anything. I know how CNN omits info that isnt in line with their narratives and props up all info that is and more than just highlights.

CNN:

"Completely innocent husband of military vet who died in battle was just randomly picked up by ICE and they tried to deport him because TRUMP BAD TRUMP VERY BAD."

Do you really not see the narrative here?

Probably the reality:

-guy has a criminal record
-had CPS called on him multiple times
-misses court date
-ice notices he has big record, complaints from grandparents on negligence etc.
-time to deport

CNN:"wha!wha! Why did you deport this saint of a person? BECAUSE HES BROWN! RACIST!"

Here is a much more detailed article from a local, non-CNN outlet. It too says nothing about a criminal history.

-time to deport
-after he is first taken into custody, attorney files a motion which generates automatic stay of deportation.
-ICE deports him anyway.

Legitimate question. Did he keep his address up to date with USCIS like the government requires? If not, then he has no leg to stand on. It's actually a crime not to update it.

That would be the truth of which cnn is lacking. That you would base your whole argument on what cnn reported is laughable, so I'm going to laugh at you and "muh" hank

Why does marrying someone who died for our country give a spouse a right to be in the country illegally? Sounds like he had a long time to figure out how to become legal.

Because immigration proceedings are administrative, not criminal.

Let me introduce you to the writer of that article.

You don't think this guy has a narrative he wants out there?

Are you seriously this naive?

It’s a bit nuts to go from “ I dont trust CNN” to “if CNN didn’t y’all about a criminal record it’s proof he had one”

It’s hilarious how the party of small government 100% believe a large government agency because they approve of what they do.

There is no doubt in my mind that ICE fricks up constantly. Because all government agencies frick up constantly.

Pure speculation. Have you run this dudes prints through AFIS? Have you seen this “alleged” rap sheet full of priors?

I have now read five articles in addition to the CNN article (INCLUDING FOX), and not one reference to a criminal history.

I am sure that (in your mind) all six reporters got together over coffee and decided to bury that “fact.”

I would bet he has one, but I'm not going to trust CNN is being straightforward with the facts because they literally never are straightforward. In fact, CNN is deliberately manipulative in what facts do go out.

So having any laws regarding immigration is "big government"?

Sure but I'd say its not likely here. There's more to this story.
I'm sorry no one writing about it is interested in divulging all the facts. I'm going to assume its because it doesnt fit their political theme.
