Looks like they recognized they were at least partially responsible and picked him up and took him back to Phoenix. I am actually impressed with that last part but it took some press coverage to kick things into gear.
If he doesn't have any serious criminal activity just give him individual amnesty and save money on the otherwise lengthy proceedings.

You are likely correct. The stay on the removal order probably had not been processed or some other clerical error which caused the issue.
I don’t know about amnesty. I mean. The dude came illegally and married a soldier. Good for her...but is that the standard? I don’t know the solution.

Well shite. I guess we should just disband ICE, Homeland Security and tear down the wall since one frick-up happened as compared to the millions of those here that are here illegally and the thousands upon thousands more that are coming.

That might as well say “man in red shoes deported”. The fact that his wife was killed in combat should have just as much bearing on whether or not he is deported as the color of his footwear.
