Seems that the Judge is concerned that the gun charge deal is linked to the tax evasion deal.
Of course it is.
The desk is not “dead” but there are definitely bumps in the road.
There are ongoing investigations into his other activities.
The judge apparently figures there’s no point in approving a plea deal that will just be revoked when he’s charged with something else down the line.

He's under investigation for something else the prosecution said. Just heard that on 99.5

The headline reads on the brink of collapse.

A federal district judge in Delaware appeared poised to reject a plea agreement between Hunter Biden and prosecutors Wednesday, taking issue with the parties attaching a diversion program to avoid a felony gun charge to a guilty plea for two misdemeanor tax charges.
Hunter Biden, 53, through his attorneys, had argued the prearranged plea deal should be accepted in its entirety, and U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika acknowledged during the hearing that she realized her concerns were a "curveball" after she had been expected to accept the arrangement.

"I am concerned you are taking provisions out of the plea agreement," Noreika said.
She also questioned if the investigation into the younger Biden was still ongoing, to which the prosecution said it was.
"Then why are we doing this piecemeal?" Noreika responded.
The attorneys for the Justice Department then remarked they weren't at liberty to divulge additional details about the investigation.

Presidency of Bill Clinton
During his brother's presidential campaign and subsequent administration, Clinton was given the codename "Headache" by the Secret Service due to his controversial behavior.[7] Clinton attracted negative media attention in 2001 when it was revealed that he had accepted $50,000 and a Rolex watch in 1999 from the children of Sicilian mobster Rosario Gambino, a convicted narcotics trafficker and Gambino crime family member serving a 49-year sentence, in exchange for lobbying his brother to pardon Gambino. Clinton repeatedly visited the federal parole commission headquarters to advocate for Gambino. In 1999, Gambino was included in a list of potential pardons, but he was ultimately not granted one.[8] In January 2001, before his brother left office, Clinton was granted a controversial presidential pardon for a 1985 cocaine possession and drug-trafficking conviction. Roger Clinton Jr. had served time in federal prison after being convicted following a sting operation of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Should have just done that in the first place. Still would have smacked of corruption but people would understand, and you get the same end result without destroying confidence in our institutions.

Holy shite that lawyer that called impersonating a Republican is going to get sued and disbarred.
That’s actually not all of it. There is a potential FARA violation that isn’t included in the deal. Seems like HB found out in court and they called off the deal.
LOL

Wonder if Barry Seal was involved with ole Roger Clinton Jr. ?

Not dead at all. Scope was locked in to taxes and firearms. So deal is exactly as it was but doesn't create immunity from future charges. Really no different then where the day started.

I don’t get the dead thing either. It was just revised.

"This deal would possibly give Hunter some immunity to future charges, and she is not ok with that."

"The deal is dead!" accept its exactly what they started with. Dude is teflon and when future FARA and extortion charges are laid on he will be pardoned by dad.

Not sure how it would "possibly" give you immunity from completely different charges but ok, at least she asked. Taxes and Guns are not really related to the other stuff (man act, extortion, FARA etc.)

So it's "altered dead" not "chef with info on Obama dead".

Just said the judge has now denied it
Posted on 7/26/23 at 12:22 pm to Godfather1
Why would the judge approve a plea deal if the person is likely guilty of other charges still being investigated. Pending the ongoing investigation, the judge might figure he doesn't deserve a plea deal.
Posted on 7/26/23 at 12:25 pm to Corso
Not denied, simply revised to not exclude any future unrelated charges. So he will get away with the millions of unpaid taxes 2014-2018 that were slow rolled by IRS and DOJ to exceed statues of limitations that he would have surely had to spend time in jail. That investigation would have taken mere weeks for a normal citizen and we would do 5-10.

It's dead because the idiot asked to be immune from future charges. The audacity.
