Half of Stern's audience back in the day were the moral guardians looking for things to be upset about. That half of the audience isn't going to pay for an XM subscription just for that material.

I love Howard Stern because he’s entertaining and an insanely gifted interviewer. But he is such a fricking moron about the Covid stuff. It’s almost unlistenable, I have to fast forward when he brings it up. Dude is literally still afraid to go outside.
I remember in the midst of the pandemic, he blamed people from Texas for the spikes in New York. Something like “just because it’s good where you are doesn’t mean you’re not bringing it elsewhere.” Completely ignoring the fact that NO ONE was traveling at the time.
I can’t remember where I saw this, but it was a poll saying on average, Democrats overestimate the rate of hospitalizations for Covid by a factor of 8 or so. Howard is one of those people.

He’s lost his mind with everything Covid. When he starts talking politics it’s so obvious he’s trying to jam in all of the cnn msnbc talking points of the day. Howard fawning over Jen Psaki was so awkward/cringeworthy

Actually something that happened last week that is relevant to the thread. Bill Maher went onto Kimmel and shredded not only Kimmel but Howard Stern saying that “You and your boyfriend Howard Stern are fear mongering about Covid.” He goes on to say that Republicans are actually far more educated about Covid than Democrats are and cited the poll you’re talking about: YouTube

Same here, listening was a habit and a good way to kill time. I can't listen any more, and actually canceled my subscription that ends in a few days. Every time I turn it on, he is ranting, and I turn it off. Can't stand it.
He claims to be the smartest man on earth, yet is completely clueless on most topics. His news source is the NYT, which he treats as gospel.

Honestly that goes into the lefty mindset...
The "smart people" have declared X so they are parroting X because that makes them smart by association. And people who dissect X and point out the issues are automatically wrong because they aren't the "smart people."

I think it's also very telling to hear Howard (barely any listeners in 2021) try to lecture Rogan (one of the biggest broadcasters in the world in 2021) when he shite (and still does) all over podcasting for a decade now, calling people who have podcasts "a bunch of losers".

I put Maher in the same category as Rogan. They are classical liberals when it comes to spending and 'liberty'...but the woke thing is leaving folks like that behind.
on current political climate issues, they are closer to Trump than they are AOC. But would never admit as much.

Sern has become just another Liberal hack. He surrounded himself with other Liberal hacks and he sucks as much Hollywood dick as any of the media. If anyone says anything negative about him, he tries to destroy them on air. Remember his best friend is Jimmy Kimmel.
