Yet there's more talk of CFB wokeness than the actual games/teams. Do you recall anything similar prior to this year?

Even with the BLM and other social bs, college football is not going to be unwatchable.

That's obviously a personal decision based on what you will accept. For me, it's not simply disagreeing with a point of view politically. In this case, I find the entire BLM narrative destructive to the fabric of society as it assumes as a "known" known that all white people are racist and the entire deck needs to be reshuffled to fix that fact. Because this is being pushed by the university and specifically by players, it means that I as a white guy am seen by both as an "oppressor" and evil. I refuse to accept that role.

For me, as an "oppressor" I just don't feel the same way about LSU athletics as I did before...as I have for nearly 40 years...because they have taken that away by making me a villain in their story. I can't pretend that both the university and the athletes that now represent it don't feel that way about me and enjoy watching games as I once did. I wish I could pretend, but I can't.

This guy is a complete pile of crazy. He’s lost a crazy amount of twitter followers since this whole thing has started. One look at his twitter page shows what a deranged trump hating wuss that he is.

You're not. I got a friend that said he gave up all his rights to football and baseball season tickets after 25 years. Said LSU has gotten their last dollar from him.

If they are going to be woke , I hope it gets shutdown so their pandering universities will lose a lot of money.

Same here. They are indoctrinating the younger generation with BS SJW propaganda and cost an arm and a leg to do so. If you are not in college for a STEM degree or on scholarship via sports/academic achievements, I don't see the point of going to university. The left ruin everything they touch.

If I had to guess, I think I'm likely not. I just don't care if I am. I didn't make this decision to be part of any movement and don't really have any belief or hope that my doing this will ultimately change anyone's mind at LSU or anywhere else.

For me, knowing what I know about this movement and what it stands for and what that implies they think I am, I simply realized that the thing I loved was not that thing any more. I'm not giving up anything...it doesn't exist anymore. I'm just now acting on this understanding. I said this the other day but I think it's true. It would be like me still tuning into Saturday morning TV thinking I was going to get to see Bugs Bunny and Road Runner cartoons or Super Friends despite the fact they've been gone for decades. I may be nostalgic for that, but continuing to tune in as if it hasn't changed is just sad. It's time to move on.

MSM media makes too much money from NCAA sports to cancel them. MSM won't carry that torch for the left.

this- ABC/ESPN gets $1.25 billion in ad revenue from college sports. That makes up over 25% of ESPN's total revenue, in a normal year. Having already lost revenue from the basketball tournaments and 2/3s of the baseball season, it would likely represent half of their 2020 revenue.

It’ll be easy. One false positive test and cancel the games.

Meanwhile, Iowa just finished all HS sports and had no real issues.

Football started dying anyway, a few years ago, because there is too much exposure to head trauma liability. You know, those damn lawyers, (like JBE).

Much like the NFL and the NBA, I would like to see college football fail and a return to a legitimate amateur system without the billions of dollars and rampant corruption that the NCAA fosters. Let the NFL set up and finance a minor league system for pro prospects.

It's the same everywhere. I think SEC programs, in particular, are in for many empty stadium rude awakenings in the near future (after the fake virus threat is taken off the table).

The biggest laugh I get lately is watching all the virtue signaling come from trumpanzee mobile home parks about football.

They are shutting themselves down. They are the Left. P5 Athletics immediately cowered to the Marxist Mob. LSU was one of the first to hit its knees.

The athletes screaming and demanding for more more are two economically ignorant to know it can’t work.

This would have been my 20th season of having season tickets. I asked for a refund yesterday when I received the e-mail from LSU asking what I'd like to do for this year and informed them I'm officially done and would not be renewing for the 2021 season. This is not a boycott...I do not care AT ALL if I'm the only one doing this. This is a personal choice based on their actions, with which I vehemently disagree. Therefore I can no longer justify spending money and supporting LSU athletics.

Amen. Screw LSU and them turning Athletics into a political machine. I’m out and will not go back unless all of the spineless cowards that allowed BLM on Tiger Stadium scoreboards are gone.
