To go a step further, most likely they already have a list of suspected nonperformers/ghost jobs and this now gives them ab actionable point to then go investigate person by person.

People act like this is so hard. It’s not.

Here was my week last week:

—Attended training class for purposes of providing mentoring and feedback to new trainers
—Met with new trainers and provided feedback
—Attended scheduled meetings with manager
—Continued writing facilitator guides for updated new hire Onboarding program
—Served as admin for training class on Friday by taking attendance, providing assistance and tech help to trainees, noting questions as learners wrote them chat, and researching job aids and other training documents to provide information for lead trainer

See? I did that in less than five minutes.

And to a new grad computer science major, that probably sounds like a days worth of work. You're fired.

Oh, and Gifman, why do you bother posting? You add nothing to the topic and only try to insult which just makes you look dumb. I really don't get it.

In all reality USGS is a very well run government agency, I think being a smaller agency makes us very efficient. That said, management can be overly cautious, especially when dealing with politicians. Most of the folks I make custom maps for are politicians and I’ve never been allowed to contact the requesters. They are very strict about communication with politicians which is why I know this is going to be a cluster frick tomorrow

Right.

Most anyone who opens the email can figure out some kind of BS list of five things.

But if you don't respond at all, That's a different story.

I’m guessing you did t read what I actually wrote, in a perfect world I agree, I can just grab my weekly Stu’s update from last week and submit it. What I said is that leadership is going to do all sorts of reviews prior to allowing us to send out a weekly summary. My point was to say management will make this harder than it has to be

If you read my post I detailed exactly how leadership will make it more difficult than it has to be

If your men-crushes Diaper Don or Crazy E held a shovel of shite in front of your face, you would gladly gobble it.

I guess that’s your leadership because I have to submit a work plan / agenda every other Friday that is approved by the office manager and I work for the Fed.

And as indicated above, by doing so, you actually are emphasizing that the Federal workforce is bloated with needless bureaucratic expenditures. This is why very few people in the private sector aren’t losing any sleep over these directives.

I do too, and when it comes to requests from outside the agency, they make easy tasks difficult

And as indicated above, I agree with eliminating the bloat, I agree with Musk

But I’m not a computer science major and you’ve clearly never done any instructional design work nor do you understand what has to happen to onboard and mentor new corporate trainers.

The rest of us are on the hook for a 37 trillion dollar debt created by your employer. We all quit caring about your feelings 36.9999 trillion ago.

Great.

When you reply that you wasted your time filling out needless feedback for the bureaucratic minions supervising you, perhaps we will see some action toward that objective.
