Evan Smith (@evanasmith) Tweeted:
.@FiveThirtyEight polling average today — 15 days before election — has @realDonaldTrump leading @JoeBiden in Texas by 1.3 points. Closest margin in the state’s history was Humphrey over Nixon in 1968: just under 1.3 points #manohman https://t.co/UUsEhRMehV

Trump is only 1.3 ahead in a deep red state, yet he has no rallies for him or his team in the state.

If Texas was actually in danger he would be there instead of busy taking Nevada, Arizona and the rust belt

Polls are only made public by the liberal media when it favors Biden in an attempt to discourage Trump voters from showing up at the voting booth.

This. It's very telling that Trump hasn't done any campaigning there whatsoever. That either means the state is firmly blue (it isn't) or firmly red.

Trump voters don't get discouraged enough for that to happen. The media has yet to understand that.

Keep in mind that Democrat participation is usually a good bit higher in early voting.

as usual this board is vastly underestimating the tidal wave of new Texans that came from dark blue states...

but yeah Trump's not losing Texas

Sounds about right, add about 5% for Trump to most of these trash polls for better accuracy. This polling outfit will be showing a little higher Trump lead by Election Day to save some face.

Started to create a topic on this yesterday, but I was too lazy.

I live in Houston Heights and traveled to Brenham for a day trip.

In The Heights, I see Biden signs (but not as many as last time), and very few Trump ones.

Out in rural Texas, it is overwhelmingly Trump. There are signs everywhere.

Hopefully, the rural communities can cancel out the urban ones; but that task is getting harder each year.

538 is bull shite. Gets lucky in one election by pulling a prognostication out of his arse, and voila, he's a genius. TEXAS IS TRUMP BIG

Voting turnout seems higher than normal. In 5 days of early voting in Ft Bend there were 116k votes casts out of 466k registered (as of the July primary). In 2018 there were 255k/434k registered voters, 2016 there were 262k/409k registered voters total for the elections. Unfortunately Ft Bend went blue in 2016 and 2018. Hoping for better results this year. I know we dont have the numbers of Harris county or other big name counties, but just showing that the blue koolaid is spreading.

Trump will still win TX, although it will be less than 2016. Probably 2.5 to 4 point margin. There are several down ballot R's that are in trouble out there at the congressional level and the state leg level. There's a reason the RSLC has put 7 figures into leg races there for the final stretch run.

I'm surprised you see any Trump signs at all, consider they're usually stolen that night or not put up for fear of getting your car keyed or house vandalized in some way.
