That's basically the decision tree.
This is a good explanation of how SJWs got Trump elected, and its from a non Trumper.

You dont disagree, yet neither of those two won and still the party hasn't changed?
Rand dropped out early so he could save his Senate seat and Cruz just didn't appeal to a broad enough base. The premise of the article is the party changed in 2016. It changed long before that the only thing is they still campaigned on the same ideals and never practiced them.

But the real turning point came with the election of Barack Obama and the rise of the Tea Party. While many of its discontents can be traced to the Bush years—Medicare Part D, changes to immigration policy and the big-bank bailouts—the Tea Party did not gain traction until after Obama’s victory. The timing fueled suspicion that the movement had more to do with the new president’s race
shite like this invalidates any "point" the article was making
the original Tea Party (small government-based, anti-taxation, etc) went after REPUBLICANS. the frick does Obama's race have to do with that?

As Avlon noted, the movement marked an aggressive shift in tactics, as some conservatives decided to “mimic the confrontational street theater of the far left they had spent decades despising.
Eventually you learn that bringing a whiffle bat to a gun fight doesn't work, so you meet firepower with firepower. The Left is shocked--and upset--that President Trump is using their playbook against them.

This would be a great point if I didnt openly acknowledge this as a given just a few posts ago dipshit.
The only possible acknowledgement of the liberal perpetual outrage machine on your part, is:
In amongst a diatribe about republicans.
No, I'm complaining that you're lamenting the sliver in the republican eye, and minimizing or completely ignoring the plank in your own. It's like a democrat calling out an establishment republican for supporting Marxist policies, you're just too much of a zealot to acknowledge it.

So now you're complaining about the fact that liberalisms perpetual outrage machine is so blatant that its only worth a passing reference in the context of a conversation with a party which was not even you?

They are ALL frickin RINOs, and are being exposed by Trump. What intellectual conservative wouldn't have raced to their seat to cast a vote to repeal OCare? And you (an that idiot writer) are about to lose your mind worrying that the real conservatives are about to hit town

I saw that sentence and had the same reaction, but if you read the next sentence he concludes that characterization to not at all describe the tea party. He goes on to say it was vastly diverse and adhered to core party ideals. In fact he describes it very positively.
I can attest to that description because I canvased for Ron Paul who was the REAL leader of the initial tea party and it was indeed extremely diverse.
