They say the same thing about conservatives in liberal echo chambers.

I live in Blue town. I have to keep my mouth shut to avoid losing business.

For all the "both sides" rhetoric on this subject, the blunt reality is, conservative "bubbles" are basically impossible.
One may live in a place that is as uniformly conservative as San Fran is liberal, but that's where the comparison stops.
A liberal living in a liberal bubble who just went about normal life and didn't seek it out could honestly come to think that conservative thought almost doesn't exist at all.
Just living normal life, they would never bump in to conservative thought in their local papers, in the TV shows they watch, any of the magazine covers they see in Grocery stores, the movies they watch and on and on.
A conservative living in a conservative community can't just stop with where they live. If they want to be in a "bubble", they basically have to fricking INSULATE themselves WILLFULLY. They'd have to basically swear off nearly all popular television or movies. Stop reading any theoretically "mainstream" news publication and, ONLY tune in to FOX(which even then, wouldn't fully do the trick).

So people with different view than you are mentally ill?

In retirement I encounter almost no one on the left. My friends are all conservative.
In my working career I encountered co-workers who were left wing every day. Our initial conversations started with them making a stupid left wing point. I would politely counter with 10-15 reasons why they were wrong. From that point on they avoided discussing politics around me.
Not one of them ever offered a rebuttal to anything I argued. They were not thinkers. They just recite cliches of the left. It's like hitting a slow pitch softball.

I would also like to add that in terms of conservative "bubbles", there are basically ZERO high concentration large population corollaries to the major liberal bubbles.
Posted on 6/6/19 at 10:16 am to ShortyRob
Almost the entire South and Midwest is a conservative bubble

Just like the west coast and north east coast

Pretty much yeah. You didn’t see me arguing there were few liberal bubbles, did you?

So anyone who doesn’t agree with your worldview is stupid?

I believe almost everyone has the best intentions for the country.
Name something on the Liberal side of the fence that you think is in the best interest of the country, then name a conservative one.
When you are done, name one thing not in the best interest of the country for both.

Why do you think you get to assign me homework?
Your entire premise is arse backward btw. People can have diametrically opposed views yet both parties can have the best interests of the country in mind.

Other than this I don't really do social media. I don't have friends with different views than me. We wouldn't get along. I work with a guy that's as far left as he can get but we have a working relationship. He won't ever step foot In my house..

It wasn't a hard question. He didn't ask 'How much do you weigh? In kilograms?'

Yes, my very edgy “most people have the best interests of the country at heart” take is way too out there
Do you believe that every dem candidate out there has the best interest of the country at heart? Especially when they are all running the exact same platforms, agreeing with each other in lock step on all Dem platforms? Really? They are doing what's in the best interest of their party, and getting elected. And it's the same for the senate and house. They will run on the best interest of their party and voters.

I said people, not politicians.
95% of politicians, on both aisles, are mainly concerned with getting elected and getting paid. Some do so within a loose framework of a belief system, some are 100% for sale. This should go without saying.

If you live in the south you live in a bubble.

an absolute perfectly robotic political answer.
But it's not a hard question. Lets see if you participate.
