I said people, not politicians.
But they aren't the ones on the hill making policy. While they have an effect on society through daily living and electing officials, they don't make laws on the hill.

95% of politicians, on both aisles, are mainly concerned with getting elected and getting paid. Some do so within a loose framework of a belief system, some are 100% for sale. This should go without saying.
I agree with this.

Okay. And?

I guess that’s a little better. Still myopic af though.

Politics rarely come up where I work, but many of the people I work with and around do not have the same political opinions I do.

So, you skipped my ENTIRE prior post and jumped to this one and EVEN THEN, failed to notice or I guess comprehend the bold.....

I would also like to add that in terms of conservative "bubbles", there are basically ZERO high concentration large population corollaries to the major liberal bubbles.

To repeat: Try actually reading the whole thing and save yourself a stupid response
For all the "both sides" rhetoric on this subject, the blunt reality is, conservative "bubbles" are basically impossible.
One may live in a place that is as uniformly conservative as San Fran is liberal, but that's where the comparison stops.
A liberal living in a liberal bubble who just went about normal life and didn't seek it out could honestly come to think that conservative thought almost doesn't exist at all.
Just living normal life, they would never bump in to conservative thought in their local papers, in the TV shows they watch, any of the magazine covers they see in Grocery stores, the movies they watch and on and on.
A conservative living in a conservative community can't just stop with where they live. If they want to be in a "bubble", they basically have to fricking INSULATE themselves WILLFULLY. They'd have to basically swear off nearly all popular television or movies. Stop reading any theoretically "mainstream" news publication and, ONLY tune in to FOX(which even then, wouldn't fully do the trick).

Unfortunately, most all my acquaintances, friends, and even family members are shitlibs now. Being in love with your own moral virtue is quite intoxicating and television/movies/media are effective brainwashing. I wish I did live more in a bubble.

My social circle is pretty conservative - very educated, fiscally conservative, socially moderate.
My job is pretty diverse. Some hardcore liberals, some moderates, some conservatives. The liberals love to talk politics.

Outside of this board, I rarely discuss politics. No point to it. It takes about .5 seconds of discussion before liberals go to the you're a racist Nazi nonsense, so why bother.

Comparatively speaking, Conservatives should be.
There is absolutely ZERO doubt that the Left, almost to a man, have gone absolutely, 100% batshit crazy and that's not even up for debate.

I am confronted with differing political views a decent amount around friends and some family, definitely a lot more if we're talking people from law school. At work, most have the same political leanings as I do. I am the board chair of a charter school in Memphis...if they knew my political leanings they would most likely try to have me arrested and possibly murdered
