I'd heard of this guy in relation to his book on Israel but didn't know anything else about him.
His track record is pretty damned impressive - in addition to his forecast for Ukraine's eventual destruction due to Western meddling, pay particular attention to his predictions on the first Iraq Attaq and our misguided efforts to ameliorate Chinese hegemony.
And totally unlike most geopolitical observers, he doesn't appear to be completely beholden to his past theories if he perceives that conditions underlying his assumptions materially change.
If only guys like him had influence on US foreign policy, instead of complete ideological idiots and opportunists like John Kerry, John Bolton, Victoria Nuland and their loathsome ilk.

NATO exists to protect and defend the freedom and security of its members from anyone, not just to "stop the USSR". Is Russia's attack a threat to NATO members? We don't know yet; but Putin should have no say in who joins NATO and at this point, it is obvious that the Ukraine needed to be a member.
Putin is the aggressor; neither Ukrane nor NATO would have been a threat to the Russians if they had stayed in their lane.

More than a few, this board is completely overrun with Putin cheerleaders but they won’t admit it. All it takes is looking at the upvotes vs downvotes on the many posts praising him and rooting Russia on.

Bruh they absolutely are starting with Dear Leader calling him genius and savvy. Thus all the bots start making argument after argument about how Ukraine is corrupt and Putin is a strong guy looking out for what’s best for Russia etc. But yes they absolutely are praising Putin no matter how much you want to believe otherwise.

To the real question though, who has OBVIOUSLY better mental faculties, Putin or PotatoBrain? Who is the better strategist? Who has the better understanding of foreign policy? Who is the more feared?
E.g., I just watched PotatoBrain groveling around on the floor trying to pick up crap he knocked of the podium (after speaking with the same thick tongue and slurred words of a barely conscious drunk) during nomination of a far-left extremist for the SCOTUS.
That is the falsely "elected" comparison for the entire world to draw, Bruh.
