So you’re saying you don’t have winning ideas and a compelling vision of the country that can survive the personality of Trump.

Sounds like you have a shitty platform.

In some cases, Dems supported them. Contributed to their campaigns. Crossed over and voted for them in states that allowed that.

Yeah they WANTED all the MAGA/Patriots and they CRUSHED them last night.

Biden didn't have all of Hillary's negatives and Trump had more negatives at that point. It's not difficult. Trump needs to get out of the way. Several of his handpicked candidates got beat yesterday in states where better candidates would have won.

Trump has become toxic in swing districts and suburban America.

I've been telling people this for 3 years now. Everytime I get called a cuck and a lib. I couldn't be further from those things. I live in a suburban county. I know how people who aren't in a red bubble think. I work with and talk to these people every day. And the town I live in isn't even 3-1 or 4-1 Dem. It's over 40% Republican. My town has voted on average 41% for the Republican candidate in the last 3 Presidential races. Trump has underperformed down-ballot Republicans that people couldn't pick out of a lineup. They HATE him even if they agree with some of his policies. And quite a few of them don't even like Biden. They're disappointed in him and don't want him to run in 2024. But Trump? They fricking HATE him.

If the only people allowed to vote were the members of this board, the US would have the greatest economy in history.
Democrats would still exist. We are a kind and compassionate people.

The media will always trash the GOP nominee.

Just like they always hafe.

Yet... the GOP candidate wins at times despite this.

Why is this?

It's amazing how you Trumpers will blame everyone and anyone but Trump.

Trump isn't where he is becasue the media hates him. He is where he is because not only does all the Dems hate him but so do most indpendents and a lot of GOPers.

I was never a Trump guy even though I voted for him twice. Although I liked most of his policies, he is extremely toxic and doesn’t help himself with the divisiveness.
I was onboard for DeSantis 2024 last year and as of today it’s even more certain this is our best path forward.

This is me 100%. I voted for Trump both times, and if my choice in the next election is Biden or Harris vs. Trump, I'll hold my nose and vote for Trump.

Trump is toxic to the Republicans, as long as he's on the playing field, it gives the Democrats and the MSM a huge hammer to beat on the Republicans. Trump has been out of office for almost 2 years and he still dominates the news cycles in a bad way. Day after day after day of Anti Trump messaging from the media is having its intended effect on the public.

Amazing how you only blame Trump. Not RNC leadership, Mike McCarthy, Mitch McConnell or any other Republican Congressional leadership.

Sure, that’s why he got the most votes for an incumbent President in history because everyone hates him?

Do we not have any strong conservatives who actually have enough of a decent personality to get elected?

Americans want politicans who will fight for them.

They don't want politicians who will fight just for the hell of fighting.

Trump's ego will not allow him to bow out. He will take the ship down and all of us with him in 2024. Even if Biden isn't the nominee, Trump would lose to someone like that despicable Gavin Newsome.

Trump has became as toxic/hated to alot of people as Hillary Clinton.

If the Trumpers can't look at Brian Kemp and realize their hardline "muh stolen election" is a path to continued failure, they can't be reasoned with. Middle America doesn't want Biden or Trump. They want conservative policies from non-narcissistic assholes. Or as they refer to anyone who doesn't kiss his arse, rinos.

The only way it will happen is if Trump gets out of his own way and steps back voluntarily.

The only other scenario that will happen is Trump will go scorched earth on anyone who even attempts to run against him in a primary, destroying their political future and splitting the party.

And yes, I am talking about DeSantis. Trump would make it his personal mission to destroy him, future political races be damned.

Here's a scary thought. With the way that Texas is trending and the fact that Ted Cruz isn't very popular. Imagine how stressful the 2024 top of the ticket in Texas could be with Trump and Cruz on it. That's fricking terrifying. Cruz survived a complete loser in Beto because of Abbott's coattails. Abbott was very popular in 2018 (approval ratings in the mid-high 50's) outperformed Cruz by 5% in 2018. Abbott won't be on the ballot in 2024.

Have you read this board in the last 24 hours?

No amount of winning ideas will convince some of these people to stop gobbling up Trump.

And if Trump loses in the primary, these people will be so butthurt that they will stay home in November and we lose again.

Trump supporters are deranged individuals who care more about the personality of Trump than they do about ruling the country in a conservative manner.

Is it clear enough now?

And if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle.

Well, maybe not in today's society...

but you get my point. This board doens't represent the view of the majority.

And ultimately, the ideas of this board don't mean jack if the candidates they support can't get elected.

Trump was soundly rejected.
