Also if raising minimum wage is good for the economy why is raising it twice as much not twice as good?

It seems possible.

Why not?

I saw a thing a while back that said in 1960 the CEO's of companies made 30 times what their workers made. Now it is something like 400 times.

Dennis Kozlowski - the head of Tyco took over $400,000,000 in compensation in just 4 years.

Is he that much smarter than you are?

"Along with former Tyco chief financial officer Mark Swartz, Kozlowski was convicted on June 17, 2005 of crimes related to his receipt of $81 million in purportedly unauthorized bonuses, the purchase of art for $14.725 million and the payment by Tyco of a $20 million investment banking fee to Frank Walsh, a former Tyco director.[10] On September 19, 2005 he was sentenced by Judge Michael Obus of the Manhattan Supreme Court to serve from eight years and four months to twenty-five years in prison for his role in the scandal.[11] In addition, Kozlowski and Swartz were ordered to pay a total of $134 million in restitution. Koslowski was further fined $70 million, while Swartz was fined $35 million. Both were convicted on 22 counts of grand larceny, falsifying business records, securities fraud and conspiracy.[12]"

LINK

The point is that Kozlowski could suck $400,000,000 out of the company because it sure as Hell was not going to the workers.

You resist fair wages for workers because you have been programmed to think that.

What the frick is that? The opposite of a globalist?

If loyalty to the United States makes a me a statist, then I am glad to be called that.

It means you want government control over every aspect of your life. From gun control to forced mandatory wages.

You can be a massive statist and be anti-globalist and even have loyalty to the United States at the same time.

I have loyalty to freedom and liberty, nothing else.

Democrats has lost the white vote almost completely, outside of like single mothers and a few cucked beta males.

They've become the party of brown people and gays.

Nationwide, as in POTUS elections, Dems are fine. Just have to fight more effectively in places like MI and WI and PA and OH where Obama won twice.

Ah yes, the Obama solution. His narcissisism has blinded him to the fact that Americans rejected HIM as much as HER this election.

They have lost over 1500 seats since 2010. This includes over 900 state legistalters then there is governors. House and senate seats. The Obama
admin was a disaster and Obama would not have beaten Romney if he was white. The media does not want you know know this but they have been sent packing. A very successful Trump presidency could end them.

They have one shot. Take all those (immigrant) voters in the Urban centers (NY and LA, mostly) and move them into Rust Belt States where they can tip the Demographic voter scales.

Of course, with Europe flaming out in the next few years - thanks to Obama/Merkel/Prog Open Border Policy - the Dem's arguments will be met with ridicule, open scorn and rejection as suicidal delusion.

They'll go rogue; with likely Right Wing Authoritarian State required to tamp down sedition and anarchy.

Of course, a prosperous Trump economy might neutralize the street thugs, and buy us time to get over the hump. I hope and pray for such. Screw war.

Looking at the states as well as congress I could not disagree with you more.

The point is this:

Don't rest on your laurels. Because you are riding the crest of an unforeseen wave does not mean it will last (see obama).

Take full advantage of your current majority. Don't think for a minute that the dims are lost and should be discounted. I firmly believe that more Americans think that the goberment owes them a living then they should have responsibility for their lives. And that number will be greater in two and four years.

No, you assumed that I though Clinton was a true democrat.

Big difference

Do you think it a coincidence that the two worst trade agreements in US history, one of which has already devastated US manufacturing came during Democratic administrations?

Both Nafta as well as TTP belong to the democrats and there are no bigger examples of globalism to be found.

You are simply a self loathing republican who has yet to grow up and realize it.

It may be a while since I haven't heard many democrats openly criticize clinton for referring to half of America as deplorables.

I think they may well believe her.

The Democrats will be back shortly. Because alot of the Republicans who've won have no idea why. They think they were just given a mandate to go after gay marriage and abortion. So instead of actually doing anything of value, they'll attempt, and fail, to do stupid Republican things.

Kind of like the Democrats when they're in power. Except the Republicans work with the Democrats to pass liberal legislation.

^ this

And right or wrong, what Trump proposes is painful in the short term, at least, and the country has the attention span of a gnat.

Dems will be back in the WH, maybe more, in 4 years. Don't confuse that with "getting their shite together."

Until they stop pandering and playing identity politics, they won't ever recover.

If Trump spends his first term promoting investment in the inner cities and giving inner cities school choice, he will make it harder for the Dems to come back.

This election had very little to do with policy IMO because it's not like Trump is a hardcore conservative or Hillary was an ideologue liberal.

Well I would say Hillary had the completely wrong message on the economy (more taxes with interest rates already at zero), foreign policy (regime change and nation building), healthcare (an even bigger govt takeover of healthcare), and the supreme court (electing judges to legistlate from the bench). It wasn't even close.

Well, as Obama, Hillary & liberals on both coasts have been saying for the past mth, America is turning into a "brown country", thanks in no small part to Obama, Hillary & liberals on both coasts. So, their theory is sooner rather than later?
