Im not going to agree with this as you have it written, but I’ll ask what cornyn or talarico did to stop these things?
We can play this game with any politician. The bar isn’t perfection, it’s being better than cornyn and talarico.
Oh, and it’s quite telling that you consider the things I have listed “political theater for trumptards”.

The Beto/Cruz race was one of the only ones I can remember where the polling wasn't loaded D by at least 3 points. He actually made it closer than the polls indicated, which never happens.
Allred was polling 5 points better than he performed. Hegar was polling 5 points better. Davis polled 5 points better than she performed versus Abbott in 2014. Beto polled 3 points better against Abbott in 22. I could go on forever.
But forget the polls for a second, because we all know they are garbage. Ask yourself what most Cornyn supporters would do, when having to choose between Ken Paxton and a closeted, trans-loving, vegan Nancy boy? This isnt Massachusetts.

The point is that people are just consistently making shite up about the polls. There was no version of reality in a Texas senate race where a democrat was blowing out the republican candidate in the polls and then lost by 6-8 points on Election Day as the post I was replying to suggested.
If you want to argue the margins, sure, there have been more republican overperformances than the alternative. But it’s not like they were being billed as close races, and the polling was on the right side of the race damn near every time in recent history.
Glad to see you’ve changed your tune since your first post in this thread, though.

You are trying too hard. All anyone is saying is that the polls are shite. And they are. In almost all cases, dems are overrepresented in these polls.
Who said this? If you are referring to my earlier post, Ipsos did, in fact, have Beto beating Cruz. I could be wrong about Davis, but I recall there being a local poll or two that wishcasted her winning early in the race.

Because Paxton is an awful candidate and has greenlighted all the socialist H1B BS coming from Abbott.
We all could have had Wesley Hunt and avoided all of this.

That’s not “all anyone is saying”
Multiple people in this thread - including you - said that the polls had Beto beating Cruz, and except for a couple of extreme outliers, that is flat out untrue.
You can think the polls are shite but you have to defend that with facts, not made up nonsense.

Not shocking.
I don't think I've seen a single Paxton sign in anyone's yard, whether in Houston city limits or in the burbs. Haven't really been looking that hard, but I'm in and out of both, and have started looking around during my runs.
But honestly, also very few Talarico signs, especially compared to Beto ones when he was running vs. Cruz then again vs. Abbott. In fact, one house in my hood around the corner from us had a Talarico sign when he first won the primary vs. Crockett, but I noticed it gone a few weeks ago, and it (or a replacement) hasn't returned to that yard.
Being Paxton is such a POS, I wouldn't count on seeing a bunch of his signs in residential yards, but traditional values suburban voters are still going to quietly pull the lever for him.

Paxton had a longer civilian life but he has also spent the majority of his career as a politician
Which, ignoring everything else about each canidate, Paxton being another old guy is working against him.
After the last 6 years of presidents that can hardly keep their eyes open, Mitch legislating from the grave, nancy stock trading from an old folks home. Talarico being young is a more a postive than a negative.

Do you think he would join Fetterman as the ONLY dem senator to vote against the leftist once in a blue moon? Or would he clip Schumer’s toenails like the rest of them? He will lose because a vote for him is a vote for Schumer.
