Why was crime relatively low before abortion? Why is crime on the rise now?

What studies do you have proving banning abortion leads to higher crime?

The crime rate is now booming. Are you saying abortion is the reason?

I am always astounded by your wisdom and intelligence, and then I read your posts.

correlation is not necessarily causation.

A fact, especially for those who have faith in an all-powerful God.

To answer the OP, there is no incentive to be accountable and responsible where abortion is concerned when you can get one anywhere, at any time, virtually free. This will be an opportunity to teach the value of life, the value of abstinence, and truth that certain people and groups really might care about these mothers and their babies and are willing to help both. It might thus loosen the grip of those who are simply using abortion as a tool to control poor unwed mothers and indeed a whole demographic.

This will be a brand new opportunity for conversations about race relations and racial violence as well as poverty.

Of course, certain people like the poster above will pooh-pooh all the possibilities and scream racism and misogyny because it threatens to reveal their deceit. I also would not want there to be a God if I were such a horrible person.

How does banning abortion help with either of those. If anything, in poor red states where it will be outlawed, they will both get colossally worse.

The responsibility is on the families/communities to fix this issue.

If you as an individual believe that life begins at conception, then aborting a child is murder.

Murder can't just be acceptable because "Well, poors are too inept to raise families/kids correctly."

If you don't believe that abortion is murder, then I can see that side of the argument as well.

You are assuming a huge population spike in undesirables right?

What if I told you that the birth rate in this country has been almost completely flat and population growth has been perfectly linear since Roe? What if I told you that when pregnancy had consequences, people were much more responsible and careful, with only a fraction of the contraceptive technology and access we currently have? Teen pregnancies were dramatically lower, and young men were more likely to become family men in the event of an unplanned pregnancy. What if I told you that adoption in the US plummeted after Roe -- children that would have otherwise been placed into loving homes, and could have had bright futures, were mutilated. There are approximately 36 waiting families for every one child currently put up for adoption. What if I told you that in spite of nearly 20% of all pregnancies being aborted, and 50 years of Roe, crime rates and poverty rates are just as bad today as they were in the 70's.

If I told you all of that, would you still want to kill babies?

If abortion is about "crime prevention", does that mean you are advocating for euthanizing any potential "poor minority" that might commit crime?

If you're ok with killing minority babies because they might commit crime, why not just kill the active and potential criminals post-birth?

If abortion were to become completely illegal tomorrow, it would immediately result in a reduction in murders.

Sure, our country might not currently consider the murder of unborn children to be a crime, but I certainly do.

So from your own logic, you should be fine with the death penalty for any felony because it solves the crime issue.

You must be for that because you are fine with killing babies for a crime they MIGHT commit so surely you must be fine with the death penalty for folks we KNOW and CONVICTED of crime.

Me, I think that is harsh but you must believe in harsher penalties if you want to blame unborn kids for crime they haven't committed.

I guess you were fine with the Pre_Crime Division in Minority Report.

If we are making brutal utilitarian arguments, then I have a LOT of proposals for you to reduce crime.

Reminder that Minority Report is on TV right now, we’ll get to see what the future hold for these people that weren’t supposed to be born; at least….

It is a step away from goodness to engage in this.

If we affirmatively targeted certain populations for abortion, there will be WITHOUT QUESTION, a dip in crime. And I'm talking males.

If we aborted all male babies in 2022, for example, the crime rate would take a noticeable hit in 2037 - 2048.

#Facts

Does that mean we should do it?

you people are too stupid to realize that abortion will still be legal in most areas.
Which has zero relevance to the question presented in the OP.

You are one to talk.

You do realize that you contribute ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to most conversations around here. You drop a little bomb and stand off at a distance to giggle. You must have been "that kid" when you were in kindergarten.

Wait, perhaps your mother should take that keyboard away from you.

Killing babies isn't a sound crime prevention plan.

You want to limit population in high crime demographic, try stylization, because the birds and bees explanation doesn't see to register with them.
