re: How has arson or terror been ruled out so quickly at the cathedral?

It's a cover up. Just like they won't tell the truth about Antifa being behind the Vegas shooting they aren't going to tell the truth about the Muslims burning down the cathedral

If you hear galloping, don't assume it's a zebra.
That would largely depend on whether you're in Wyoming or South Africa now, wouldn't it. Just like the difference between a church fire in Paris and Poland.

Once again, not saying any of the above is true but leaping to terror is even worse than dismissing it since there damn well may have been witnesses to what caused the fire.
The safest assumption is still "we don't know".
If there were witnesses, they would have been plastered all over the news to counter the argument that it might have been terrorism.

I usually wouldn't doubt cover up of arson or terrorism but they were doing reconstruction of the roof.
Sometimes an accident is an accident.

Investigators were focused on whether the fire spread from the site of ongoing reconstruction work on the roof of the cathedral, a source close to the investigation said.

If it’s arson/terror, the arsonist/terrorist will want to take credit for it.
No one has taken credit for the countless other acts of vandalism and arson on French churches in recent months

There were 13 electrical accidents within 2 weeks.

Have they officially ruled it out. Or have they really just said there’s no evidence of arson or terrorism? That would make sense.

Muslims do have a bit of respect for Christian holy sites. They haven't tried anything on the Vatican or Jesus' birthplace or anywhere like that. We haven't touched Mecca. I don't think either side wants to escalate things to that level.
Oh, but evil fricking Muslims can crash airplanes loaded with innocent civilians into the twin towers on U.S. soil in the name of Allah?

There are some sites holy to both Islam and Christianity and Juadaism. Those they respect because they are also sacred to them. New world catholic and Christian holy sites are fair game.

There were people on this board ruling it out yesterday as the fire was still blazing away.
And some said it was arson at the very same time.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was arson or set by terrorists, but it easily could be construction related too.
We can wait for an investigation. Hopefully it will be a real one.

If it was an accident, we should see an enormous accident against the various contractors working on the structure.

If it was a Muslim worker looking for an easy victory for the great jihad, they won't admit it. If it was a more sinister terrorist plot, they won't admit it.
Who won't admit it? France, or the terrorist? I think too many people want this to be a terrorist act. It might have been. It was the first thought in my head. But so far, no one has taken credit. They will take credit eventually if it was, because if they don't, it was a completely useless act.
Just due to the nature of the construction, I feel like there is a really good chance it was just an accident. And until there is evidence or someone claims they did it, I see no reason to get up in arms about it. No one is going to sweep actual terrorism of that scale under the rug.

No one has taken credit for the multitude of other church vandalism/-arsons in recent weeks. And there have been plenty.

People seem to be ignoring this trend, and the fact that ND would fall right in with with everything else that’s happened.
Not saying it was an accident. It very well could be. But to immediately ignore the potential for foul play when it’s been running rampant in similar situations in recent weeks is pretty naive/ignorant/responsible/etc
