How exactly can our troops stop people from crossing the border?

Once they cross and are on American soil, they have to be arrested and processed, correct?
It's like trying to keep them out of an endzone thousands of miles wide.
If they step foot in the endzone, they are now in the country and have to be treated like anyone else who committed a crime in our country, correct?
So what can the military do? They're obviously not going to shoot them.
So they'll be arrested and released into the country?

I’m thinking the plan will be to detain them all in makeshift camps and try to process them all quickly, deny asylum and send them all back.

This is not some small amount of individuals doing illegal crossings and getting caught. This is an outright invasion into the US. It will not end well for the caravan folks.

Concertina wire. Also, rubber bullets, tear/OC gas, and water cannons fired on the horde while they're still on the Mexican side. When the Mexican government voices outrage at our military firing into their territory, tell them to declare war or STFU. Profit.
