He seems like a good man who wants what’s best for Louisiana... but so did Bill Cassidy

How long until the swamp buys him out? Does he seem like someone who would eventually fold?

I like his folksy whimsy.

Personally, I think he is a VERY bright man, and I LOVE his Foghorn Leghorn impersonation.

Trust but verify.

He plays a Republican on TV but is a former Democrat who ran Buddy Roemer’s campaign in 1995 before Mike Foster made him head of Dept of Revenue as a political favor.

I like him more than Cassidy but I am still very wary of him between past affiliations and some of the interactions I’ve heard of between him and people at Revenue or Treasury.

A good rule is when the swamp buys them out, vote them out.

1. Zach does not 'feel'. Zach 'thinks.'

2. Zach thinks Kennedy is 1,000 times better than any Dem who runs against him.

I voted for him twice for Senate. He's kinda a goofball, but I don't have a huge issue with him.

I can't stand the way he speaks and there is no way an Oxford educated man speaks like that in actual conversation, but he hasn't done anything I can recall which would make me think he should be replaced

I don’t trust any of them. He’s playing a character just like every other senator. Another former lifelong democrat turned Republican when running in Louisiana.

What policies do Bill Cassidy support that are not best for LA?

Kennedy makes us look/sound like bumpkins
The NOLA.com questionnaire where they asked if Foghorn Leghorn said it or Sen Kennedy said it was a classic.

1. The cornball folksiness is an act.

2. He is very bright.

3. He has some occasional insights, but a lot of his "policy proposals" are, as he might say, "all hat and no cattle." That is, they sound good and play well to the public, but don't really accomplish much.

I think #3 is why he didn't want to be governor. Easier and more fun to sit back and sling witty barbs then to fix stuff.

All that said, I do personally like him and have voted for him on multiple occasions. He is a very good politician.

The man's one of the smartest guys in DC. He uses that folksy personality to get close to the "common man".

I haven’t forgotten in 2004 he supported John Kerry for president and minimum wage increases. That being said, he’s currently a good Senator.
