plus the new taxes mean the middle class will now have half of its money confiscated and that will require IRS storm troopers to come in with assault weapons to seize your property

there haven't been enough bodies to look into most of the millionaires returns.
its statistics. auditing the poor is not fruitful.
some people forget its a sin to tell a lie.

its a crime too.

I doubt many of the new irs employees will be working in the criminal division. They could be bulking that side of things up, but I think this is a revenue play. They will be going after small
Business owners disputing their deductions.

They act like we don’t have any guns and ammo.

revenue indeed. the primary purpose is auditing those reports with big numbers. this has been on lib wish list a long time. millionaires returns.

Those are already audited. This is a small business owner play. The upper middle class. They are slowly creeping down the ladder. It’s not just “tax the rich” anymore. Now it’s “tax the financially stable”.

They are afraid that people who are being hurt by inflation will try to seek relief by cheating on their taxes.

Then you should stop posting, Otto, because you sin with every post.

This increase is very troubling. First, they can’t find enough competent people to fill the openings. The IRS agents I’ve dealt with were all oddballs who couldn’t make it in the private sector. This only means they’ll hire even more inept people to wield power over us.
This is nothing short of a power move to place more people under the control of the government.
