I think OK is probably the best, we have a ton of shitbags in TX.
I remember Greenville closing the public libraries in town as if they were a terrorist target during 9/11. Uh, Savannah River is 20 minutes away, and libraries are the target? JFC.

Boomer voters are dumb. They still eat up mainstream media, so they don't hear the truth about lawmakers.
I think this country is fricked until boomers stop voting.

I've tried to explain it many times ... but here goes again.
1 - He has built a massive war chest during the course of the past 25 years. Big PAC, Israel, K Street Lobbyists ... they all love him.
2 - We have open primaries in this state. That means all of these yankee transplants we've got moving into SC ... they consider themselves "moderates" be they blue or red. If they're blue they vote for Graham in the primary because they're not going to vote for the black dem knowing their vote is wasted. If they're red they vote for Graham because he's more in line with their yankee sensibilities. Once the general election happens a lot of red party levers get pulled ... and Graham is high ranking on some key committees. We old school Conservatives, old SC people, despise him. He wasn't always rhis way ... John McCain changed him.
3 - He is very powerful in this state with big business. We're the tire mfg, and rubber mfg, capital of the country. Michelin, Kelly Springfield, Yokohama, BF Goodrich, The Tire Manufacturers Association on K Street, all the big hospitals (which are big here because of the retirees we have here), Bell Helicopter, PSA, Fort Jackson, Paris Island, Shaw AFB, Myrtle Beach NAS, Sopako, BMW, etc., etc., etc., are all beholding to Graham to get stuff passed in DC for their benefit. And farmers. And our tourism industry.

How do any of them?
Because everyone is too afraid to let the other team win. They're all against us. They're just also against eachother.

Like any politician keeps getting reelected... Constituent Services
Posted on 3/26/26 at 8:51 pm to Jauquismos
he has a big war chest that prevents any primary challengers and SC will vote for someone with an R at the end just like NY will vote for someone just because they have a D at the end.
Its a problem with the 2 party system, its hard to have challengers

I think this is dumb.
When latoya won reelection people my age said there was no one else to vote for. Several people ran against her and I bet none were sleeping with their security guard.

We are approaching generational change in politics. Those old farts don't know it yet.

Obviously you are not familiar with Louisiana's elected officials.

South Carolina has a big shipbuilding industry for the military and a lot of military bases so Grahams Warhawk persona sells well there due to their economy relying heavily on military contracts

Also all southern states seem to have a habit of electing neocon big govt RINOs
As deep red as SC, Al, MS, La, Arkansas are we always have shitty republican senators. Too many old timers who used to be blue dog democrats vote for big govt evangelical neocon republicans. It’s a voter base easy to manipulate with Bible thumping and war mongering and they really aren’t that opposed to govt spending programs

Best politicians that money can buy as long as you are donating to their campaign funds so they can buy LSU tickets, pay cellphone bills, and lease expensive cars in the name of travel/office expenses.

You literally posted Rubio 2028 earlier. Who was in the Gang of Eight with Miss Lindsey?

I couldn't agree more. I mean how do you explain Nancy Dentures Pelosi consistently getting reelected and San Fran is falling apart.
