Again, the DEMs don't think we're spending enough. How will this affect them?

Pass spending cuts which cut across the board (removing things like "well they didn't cut defense spending omgreddszz").

And this will do what? The Senate/Pres won't agree with this.

This would work had Republicans been smart decades ago and invested in the media. I don't think this message being spread through churches across the country and country clubs will really have much penetration with Democrat populations.

You state that as a fact for all of time.

We have almost 20 years of evidence that the DEMs and their constituents are totally fine with CRs.

Gaetz and 7 Republicans are the ones making a big deal out of it.

I'm asking how those 8 Congressmen plan to accomplish this goal.

Sounds like something that EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT IN THE HOUSE understood a couple of days ago.

You send their asses the principled demand of TDPT, and if they don’t like it, tough. That’s all. That’s as far as I’ve gotten with it so far. Hopefully they just agree. If not I guess the power and wifi’s getting cut off. Maybe that’ll shock their asses into agreement.

The God of politics looking at the GOP's investment in the wrong institutions:

If this effort was well thought out, organized and funded (marketing), Republicans would win. But that's a big ask of the Republican party.

Republicans are the WORST marketers of all time. You need Trump screaming it, you need everyone in leadership screaming it, you need governors and local politicians screaming it. If the national news doesn't cover it, make sure the podcasters and local news does.

Somehow, we can get "If you like your plan you can keep it. If you like your Dr, you can keep them" shoved down our throats for years with it all being a lie, but can't seem to get facts about the national budget and spending in front of everyone. Nor can we seem to sway people from believing the lies that are fed to them by the Democratic Party.

While we are at it, lets start by apologizing for being a part of the problem for the last 20 years and not doing shite when we had the chance.

It could be 2/3 Republicans in both houses and nothing would get done.

They are on the same team.

Pass a budget and then wait them out.

So shutdown?

In the "CR Era" how many of those have the DEMs lost? Like 1, maybe?

Pass appropriation bills and send them to the senate.

That's all.

It sounds like your question is how do I get enough intestinal fortitude to stick with the bills we passed in the House as the White House, Senate and media beat you down with shutdown politics, right?

You stop caving to their demands every time things get sticky. That’s the reason why McCarthy got the boot. He actually trusted the Dems to keep him around Stop trusting them and be willing to risk the biscuit

I don't think Gaetz can even do this in the GOP-controlled House.

More like "how do we turn this virtue signaling into reality when we are at a severe disadvantage?"

I see TV commercials for global warming all the time. 30 second spots with horrible global warming images and promises about how real the crisis is, and how all scientists agree that we'll all die if we don't give Democrats more money and power.

Maybe we (the Right) need to go this route to scare the shite out of everybody about the impending financial collapse if Republicans don't stop Democrats from spending every f'n nickel we have.

If elections are keeping score, the GOP won in 2009, 2012, 2014, 2016 and even in 2022 despite self sabotage.

When you control the spending, you control it all…. If Republicans can’t understand that, they need to seek another career

But Republicans don't control spending.

They control the first step of authorizing spending. It still has to be passed by the Senate and signed by the President.

So pass it in the house and let the DEMs be the ones blocking it.

Stop giving them what they want. Make tough choices. It’s not really that hard

Sadly, the answer is that the Democrats will find 5 RINOs in the House to pass the Senate Democrat bill. So, more spending than ever before YAY.
