Difference is, there's no pretense with Trump...
With Obama, you had lie after lie after lie after misdeed after misdeed, but he would lie to your face and pretend to be the good guy, ALL THE WHILE having a Media that fellated him 24/7 and promoted the lie that he was one of the white hats....

Stopped reading here and downvoted. Let’s extol the virtues of a man who left his wife who patiently waited for him for to return from war because she limped from an injury in a terrible car wreck. He unceremoniously tossed her out for much younger and very much wealthier piece of arse.
He's spent his entire political career doing his best to court favor with shitlibs while selling me and mine down a f**king river with the rest of heritage America. John McCain is actually the reckless incompetent traitorous showboating adulterer with a trail of dead bodies and shady foreign connections who owes everything to Daddy's money.

When I say war hero, I’m talking about this gu btw Decorated Honest War Hero
Plus, there is no comparison between McCain and Trump. Even Agent Orange knows that.

Got it.

You're talking about guys for whom Dems NEVER vote in National elections:
HW Bush
Dole
McCain
I mean, the best you cats could do was Kerrey (Bob, not Lurch), who was a legit hero, but relatively despised by his own party and accused of being a baby killer.
I mean, FFS - take your "war hero" worship somewhere else - we're full up on this side of the aisle.

Actually not sure. Depends on if Trump is in a position to run or not. I’m a conservative buddy, just not blind. He’s not a representative of the party I’ve been a member of in my book.
I’ll admit, we have some short term economic wins, but they’ve come at a long term cost. So I’d rather a one term HW who’s honest to a potential two term disaster in the making.

So, in 1992, if you voted, did you vote for HW? Or WJC?
If you did not, for whom would you have voted?

When you say war hero, you invoke the term as a general moniker, albeit relating to an individual. You employ it as a shield from any accusation of internal wrongdoing and external criticism.
Again, Benedict Arnold was a war hero . . . . until he wasn't. There are hundreds of examples of war heroes who engaged in atrocious subsequent conduct.
Mueller may well have acted dishonorably in accepting, assuming and executing his role as SC. He was extraordinarily conflicted when he took the role. His behavior in service as SC is not heroic.

How Do We Take The Word Of a coward who claimed to have bone spurs over a decorated war hero who literally went to save American lives.
How can you take the word of someone that knowingly allowed an innocent man to die in prison in order to cover up corruption in his department?
You trust the word of a man that, as FBI director, oversaw the leaking of a fake corruption investigation to the media to intentionally damage a sitting Congressman and his daughter, only to have the investigation dropped as soon as the Congressman lost his reelection campaign? The same man that alerted the media before raiding the Congressman's home? (Do you see a pattern to Mueller's methods?)
The man that illegally searched a Congressman's office, violating Constitutional restraints, in an effort to bully elected officials?
The FBI director that allowed his agents to send out thousands of National Security Letters to acquire documents without probable cause, an act that violates both the 4th amendment and DOJ policy?
This is the man you choose to believe simply because he is a war hero? A lot of shitty people have been war heroes. Being a war hero doesn't make someone a good person.

In the 2016 primaries, who did you feel most represented your political philosophy?

McCain can be feted for his military service in the same vein as the cook on a battleship can be feted for his service - both deserve respect for their service.
But McCain was far far far from some WAR HERO - he was a pathetic pilot - Have not heard of ANY action he took that was in and of itself heroic - he was more prone to crash his plane that he was to defend America - He was ONLY given his rank and privilege in the military because of the grandfather and father - he would gave washed out of Annapolis but for his family tradition of service. As it was he finished in the bottom of his class.
HOWEVER - he served and deserves the same respect as a mechanic at the tire shop who is a veteran.
To even HINT at ignoring his subsequent dishonor because of his questionable military service is abysmally stupid and promotes DISRESPECT for the average vet who went and did their jobs honorably and acted honorably after they returned to civilian life.
McCain TARNISHes the Respect due to all honorable veterans.
Piss on McCain the politician - with due respect for his military service, but certainly not feted as HEROIC.

Let me tell you something, I was on board with Rand Paul, since he has libertarian leanings as well as leanings towards being a constitutionalist.
I was not a Trump guy early on, but by no means did I want another Bush in the WH. I was not happy about what the RNC did to Ron Paul, I didn't like McCain, Romney went soft after Candy Crowley backed him down in the debates.
As trump started gaining popularity, I noticed the attacks on him from establishment GOP and violence on his supporters outside of his rallies and the MSM framing him as a racist. Since I don't care for the MSM and how they framed the market crash solely on Bush (not crappy lending policies instituted by the Dems) I started listening to Trump and began to align with most of what he said. I especially believed we needed to restart manufacturing in the US.
I do not raise my boys to be narcissistic and be braggarts of their accomplishments. I don't like some of Trump's personality. But if you cannot stand behind him, don't consider yourself as loving this country. His policies both foreign and domestic have benefited the majority of Americans. His will to get in the mud and fight the lunatic, socialist, power hungry democrats is all that is stopping them from taking more of your freedoms away.
