I don’t understand how one of our most elite federal bureaus sends agents in to conduct an arrest without them being prepared for a possible firefight!?

Do they still send in trained agents (ACAB), or social workers?

No win situation. People bitch if they roll up in militarized SWAT vehicles and gear just to serve a warrant.

SWAT or PTUs or Tac teams whatever you want to call them can be used to execute high risk arrests. I haven’t read this story but it appears unlikely they used that option. People get pissed when they use these teams to kick in old men’s doors at 5 AM for process crimes.

We may never know why they were really there since they are basically unaccountable to anyone and do many questionable things "off the books" and then lie about it to cover their misdeeds.

They seemed much better prepared when they got Roger Stone.

Do you know any FBI Agents? I've lived next door to two ...Nothing magical about them at all. They are nothing more than "Glorified" Cops.

The question should be ....how dumb do you have to be, to stand with three to five at the same door waiting for someone to answer? Damn, I inspect houses for mortgage and insurance companies ....I ring the door bell then get back. You have no idea what's coming out of that door and believe me when I say, I've more than my share of guns coming out first.

Whatever they did was dumber than hell and two died as a result.

I think most of us remember or watched this movie (true story). This is how the FBI can get their butts kicked.

Don't know any, but a clown investigating me for a security clearance sent me multiple texts intended for another agent regarding live surveillance he was conducting.
I asked him "why are you sending me this crap?". It was a long time ago and I can't remember his response, but he was mad and embarrassed.

Maybe there is a handful of decent people left. I doubt it though. Why aren't they leaking to the press? Surely one of them knew about Hunter's laptop. If they stand silent while all of this goes on, they are not the good guys they think they are. Until something like that happens, I stand by my original statement.

FBI is an accounting agency DBA a law enforcement agency. The days of the G man are long gone. If they need warfighters they get them detached from the military.

I don't understand why a simple arrest should require a firefight. The cowboy mentality that leads to raids is stupid. Arrests should be ambushes conducted when suspects are most vulnerable. Don't storm the fortress.

You watch to many movies. The fact is the FBI is basically a police force run on a federal level. Full of a bunch of pencil pushers and infidelity. Half of the “elite bureau” are linguists and business degrees. Chock full of disgrace and corruption.

Didn't know they served warrants.

Thought that was left to the US Marshalls for federal crimes.
