How did Russia attack our democracy in 2016?

I know it happened. Everyone says it happened. I just forget the nature of those attacks.

Nope. The same President that allowed this “attack” to occur was caught on a mic telling the Russians directly that after his first election he would have more flexibility.

I just want to make a side note in this thread. I'm purposely using the Democrat poll tested term "our democracy". They say it like clock work. But they do know it's a democratic constitutional republic.

You must not have been here in 2016. The ridiculous over-the-top conspiracy theories and memes were everywhere on this site. I remember seeing them and knowing it was obvious BS. At the time I assumed it was just 4 chan or a bunch of partisan hacks coming up with dumb shite.
I know no one on this board will admit to posting them or falling for it.
After talking to friends and family I realized they were seeing similar things, yet they were believing them, mainly my older kin folks, but even some of the younger ones.
it was more effective than I would've believed. But here we are. more divided than ever and the conspiracy theories are still hanging around.
