Rich liberal parents with spoiled brat kids. These type of kids have had everything they ever wanted since they were born so they’re always looking for something more. Sometimes that becomes being high on drugs. When my kids were that age, they had no money for drugs. They had to work for everything they ever had. Liberals don’t teach their kids the work ethic conservatives do.
No conservative parent has ever had a kid go astray and get hooked on drugs

It's a topic of discussion.. I'm discussing it. Why are you so bent out of shape?
Carry on then. It’s childish and immature and disgusting.
The man, for whatever his faults, loved his son enough to try and get him help.
I won’t be a party to this nonsense anymore.

Just out of curiosity, how many more times do I have to ignore your posts to me before you get the hint? You are waaaaaay too dumb to actually engage with. Move along. It’s embarrassing how much you want my attention

So the frick what? His kid went off the path and Reiner tried to help his son by putting him in a program. How awful?!? Ok, some Hollywood guy hated Trump. Now we’re gonna denegrate everything about him? You people need to get a fricking life.
Yeah, because the left has been so gracious to the Trump kids.
The myopia from self righteous progs is simply incredible.

I'm sure there are some... probably not as young as 14 or 15 though.
I did some digging into the Nick Reiner drug stuff, out of curiosity... one thing that stood out to me was Rob basically saying it was hard to deal with for him because he didn't want to be a hypocrite- as he grew up in a drugs are fine kind of time. It truly seemed like he had a tough battle within himself to help his son but still have a liberal attitude towards drug use.

I don't doubt he loved his son, I don't think anyone doubts it.

Seems like teen rehab was big business back in the late 80s early 90s based on the amount of tv commercials you see for them.
They tapered off over the years though.

but how the hell does a 14yr old, properly parented, get hooked on anything to the point of rehab as a 15th birthday present?
Because kids are sneaky and don’t listen to advice? Meanwhile, busy parents can’t be there at every moment shielding said child? No one knows the inner workings of that family. They could’ve been exemplary parents and the kid had mental issues that lead him down a dark path. They may have been horrible parents and let him run amok for all we know. Or neither one of those things.
Good families have problem children. It happens with the best intentioned parents that have loving homes.
The OP is out of line.

Then WTF are we doing here? A random Hollywood guy dies and Trump makes a mean tweet because random Hollywood guy said something mean about Trump and now we have to make a million threads about this guys whole life and family?
Is that what we are? frick man, the guy is dead. Murdered by his addict son. It’s awful.
You guys could be talking about tariffs or Venezuela or Ukraine or a million other things that actually matter but you apparently want to be a bunch of women and gossip about the teenage drug addict instead of shite that actually matters.
Just go watch some soap operas and let the rest of the adults talk please

Busy rich ones can certainly hire nannies and tutors.
I stayed home with mine and pulled both their asses out of schools that I worried would be bad for them. We are not wealthy.
Again, once a kid hits driving/working age it's a lot harder... but 14&15yr olds can be managed.

The aspects of this go beyond Trump's tweet.

If you don’t care go watch a soap opera, right?

You were a teen mom. Was that your mom and dad’s fault? You have shitty parents who you should have murdered? My goodness, y’all are savages.

Eh……lots of people have kids with these problems.
Yea
They usually kill themselves
Still a reflection on the parents to a certain degree
Drug addict
Live homeless for several years at different times
Clearly fricked up in his mind
Every pic of him looks like he wants to commit suicide
Total family failure
That’s what’s wrong with our society

When you grow up in a family where the Dad and Grandad are both enmeshed in Hollywood, and both are atheists those are two huge red flags right there.

How?
Very young age drug addiction... the intersection of love and values... recovery, partial recovery and relapse.
There's a podcast I found, when learning about Nick, called Dopey, Nick was on it several times talking about his journey.
An interesting thing was his version of recovery... he couldn't stand a complete sobriety, so he created his own kind of "program" with lesser drugs, like weed.
Somehow he ended up on meth... he talks about that on the podcasts, too.
I find addiction interesting- I had two drug addicted family members, one died, the other eventually got clean. Because of them, I was hyper aware of my own children and possible pitfalls- so far, so good (but for the grace of God).
Anyway... I wasn't trying to shite on the Reiner family, just exploring what happened to them from my own lens of experience.
