I’ll tell you how much. A lot. They played a big role

Honestly, I would rather form a strong alliance with Russia, and leave France, Italy, Germany, UK, you know the week sisters behind.

Nah. Stalin and the Bolsheviks were just as bad or worse than the Nazis.

BTW: I believe that 80% of the German casualties were inflicted by the red army.

Currently Germany, France, Italy and UK royalty are all DS/cabal... Russia bailed on the ds few years ago.

So count me in.

My favorite piece of obscure Russian WWII history is their tanks. The philosophy was numbers, not quality.
They produced 1,000 really fast. None of them were expected to last more than one battle. That's OK. Just leave your tank when it stops and we'll get you a new one.

Doesn't give you much confidence in Russian built cars.

Enormous.

However, Russia has zero reason to seek an alliance with the United States, and the same is true for us. We have almost no common geo-political interests.

germans had them on the run and would have beaten them had the germans not had to worry about north africa or western front and were able to put all resources on estern front although the cold weather messed them up bad by itself. we shoulda let them destroy stalin then take out he nazis. big mistake. because then look who ended up with eastern europe. FDR fricked up many times in his handling of russia. shoulda listened to churchhill on many things.

Russia played a large role because Stalin killed off all of his military leaders then used his large population base as a meat-wall he gradually pushed west. The USSR was an evil, vile nation that would have been helpless if not for the ridiculous amount of aid the US gave them through lend-lease. 90% of all fuel used by the allies was supplied by us, and more than 2/3 of every vehicle that Russia had was from America. Everyone gives them credit for defeating the Nazis based off of how many died on the eastern front. But those same people then discount the enormous impact that came from the US' manufacturing and logistical abilities. Also, America fought two wars during WW2. We almost single-handedly defeated Japan. Can you imagine how quickly the European theater would have been dealt with had we had the Marines and full Navy at our disposal there?

The Germans wouldn't have had to worry about the Russians at all had Hitler not violated their non aggression pact. Its entirely his own fault.

The USSR would probably lose without lend lease.

Funny, because I think we should've used the German troops after they surrendered to attack the Soviets.

The Nazis threw around 160 divisions at the USSR.

I wonder if we should have let them fight it out without our help. The Nazis would have gone deeper and would have had to hold down a vast and unfriendly place with badly extended supply lines.

if hitler hadn't effed up and attacked a Russian allied country. Russia would've probably stuck with the axis

We may not have been able to win the war without the deaths of 27 million Russians- more of them civilian than soldier

80% of Russian males born in 1923 died between June 22, 1941 and May 8, 1945

The USSR only became an ally to the U.K. when they were invaded by Germany on June 22, 1941. Prior to that, Germany and the USSR had a non-agression pact with each other, allowing both sides to occupy Poland.
