Can we just run like a single B-1 or 52 down the Yemeni coastline and destroy every port they have?

Does anyone know if Yemen has advanced air defense capabilities? I'm a little surprised we haven't seen B-52s carpet the areas where the anti-ship missile launches are coming from.
Not such an easily accomplished feat. It’s an absolute embarrassment on the world stage if we lost a B-52 to some rag tag camel frickers with bottle rockets. Much easier to throw cruise missiles and drones from a hundred miles away.

I don’t think we’re firing many cruise missiles at them. The Tomahawk is out of production, we only have the missiles that are currently in inventory. And what would you fire them at?

The Houthi can keep the Red Sea closed by firing one or two missiles a week. Ports open or closed, it would not be difficult for the Iranians to keep them supplied through smuggling. And the Houthi may have a large stockpile of anti ship missiles.

Well hopefully we have pretty good intel of what they have as far as anti air defense. I’m all for a MOAB on the bastards but the potato isn’t going to really do anything.

We can’t meaningfully hurt Yemen. We don’t have the ability to.

What would we target? That’s the problem.
It won’t be easy to find their missile systems. There's this downer quote in The NY Times talking about the first wave of strikes
quote:
Even after hitting more than 60 missile and drone targets with more than 150 precision-guided munitions, the strikes had damaged or destroyed only about 20 to 30% of the Houthis’ offensive capability, much of which is mounted on mobile platforms and can be readily moved or hidden
You have to put people on the ground if you want to stop the missiles, but that means committing ourself to another Afghanistan.
It’s really easy for the Houthi to keep this up, it’s very hard for us to stop them.

Interesting. The Saudis are in a tough spot right now. They seemingly have no desire to embroil themselves in another conflict with the Houthis. As far as Israel is concerned, this couldn't come at a better time – amid peace talks between Saudi Arabia/Yemen

Took them off the terrorist list, only to have them attack us & others.
The adults are back in charge.
The adults are back in charge.

The Saudis have worked on improving their relationship with Moscow, and they accepted the Chinese brokered deal to make peace with Iran (for now at least).
I don't think they're betting on a future with the West.
The USN tried to run two cargo ships through the straight yesterday under a direct escort, the Houthi fired on the cargo ships, and the ships turned around. This really is not going well.
And today the Pentagon said they're negotiating terms of a withdraw from Iraq and Syria.

Tonight every power station in Houthi Yemen should be blown up

We need to either obliterate Iran or leave. This whack-a-mole nonsense with the Houthis will get us nowhere. We're just wasting ordnance bombing sand dunes and firing million-dollar missiles at $1,000 rockets.

Don't believe any news from the middle east, regardless of the source, while the US is shopping for it's next forever war to sell to the American taxpayer.

Target their leadership and start killing them until this shite stops
It’s like people don’t understand that this doesn’t work.
We’ve been trying that in various forms and to various degrees of involvement for the past 40 years in the ME. It hasn’t worked once.
Playing whack-a-mole does not work.
It absolutely works when done properly. (I'm not talking about only battlefield leadership...)

Would someone MOAB this SOB already?
