JFC, I’m going to have to move now.
You might think that would help, but we just re-elected KP Freaking George to run Fort Bend County.

So glad I moved out 10 years ago. SJL will sink Houston further. And it was already bad.

Sheila is going to bring us some programs
Posted on 3/27/23 at 1:57 pm to L1C4
Yeah, but the city can kiss its a$$ goodbye. I bet they'll always have plenty of grape drank dough.

Will she put out bids so that Taco Bell will be able to bid for the city phone system?

Glad that I live outside of the City.
She is a real POS..

This woman would make Latoya look like Ronald Reagan

Anyone who thinks for a single second this woman has a shot at winning the Mayor’s seat is mistaken.
Her gerrymandered district =/= Houston as a whole.
From a poll (yesterday) with thousands of responses:

she should hedge her bets and run for dog catcher too, she has a slightly better chance to win as dog catcher

Sylvester won with looming graft charge. So yea, we have some dumb voters.
Dora’s whole staff got indicted and somehow people are sticking by her. Talked to a guy who runs around with her and he said that she was being framed

she has huge negatives. She is up against a bunch of other Dems with much better reputations.
she doesnt stand a chance city wide
zero traction with black/hispanic/asian business owners nor would she get the white apologist vote. The only thing she will have going for her is some name recognition and some of the black clergy on the northside

SJL and Dora the explorer. Houston is doomed.
Look for white flight to escalate after Election Day.
Houstonians - time to sell.

Mayor Sly is very tight with the right Houston Business Leaders and Developers, he is about as Pro-Business as a Dem can be these days.

Eh, wouldnt say they are sticking by her, Mattress Mack's going to have his day in court. She is only useful if she is in office. I know there were severe technical problems in the southside polling places that day that they had never had before.
quote:
Mattress Mack's lawsuit comes as a slew of losing Harris County GOP candidates seek to overturn the results of their 2022 election contests. Most notable among the election challengers is Alex Mealer, who lost her bid for Harris County Judge to incumbent Lina Hidalgo. Mattress Mack was a vocal Mealer supporter during her campaign.
Harris County officials released a report on Dec. 30 detailing their inquiry into a number of issues at polling places on election day 2022, ranging from late openings to paper ballot shortages. Harris County Elections Administrator Clifford Tatum said in the report that the results of the investigation are "inconclusive" thus far.
Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick called for a do-over of the 2022 election in Harris County earlier this month. Patrick claimed that a paper ballot shortage at dozens of polling places across the county denied voters the chance to cast ballots, according to the Chronicle's Jen Rice. Patrick said he didn't know if any voters were actually denied a chance to vote as a result of ballot shortages, the Chronicle's Rice reported.

Here is a copy of the lawsuit that
@MattressMack
has filed to obtain election related records that Harris County refuses to disclose. These records are not confidential, and nothing is preventing the County from releasing them. Transparency is a must.

or ask yourself why would she be leaving one of the cushiest jobs in Congress now? she is 73, she could easily stay there until she dies, but now she wants to come back to houston to run the 4th largest city in the country?
sounds to me like she is just down for one last big fundraiser cycle for a mayor run and then head to the house.

it boggles the mind how someone like this got voted into congress from the get to. not a great look for democracy.

Maybe now she'll have that political clout to get that MARS rover to drive over and take a photo of the US flag our astronauts left on the Moon.
