House intel chair: GOP fixation on Supreme Court leaker ‘a sideshow’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chairman if the House Intelligence Committee, on Wednesday dismissed the outrage expressed by members of the GOP over the leaking of a draft opinion from the Supreme Court regarding abortion rights.
“I don’t care how the draft leaked. That’s a sideshow,” Schiff wrote in a tweet. “What I care about is that a small number of conservative justices, who lied about their plans to the Senate, intend to deprive millions of women of reproductive care.”
During remarks in Washington state on Wednesday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she is telling people to focus on the substance of the opinion.
“The press likes to say, ‘Well, there are two things here: How the document got released, and the decision.’ No. … What is important is the substance of it, and what it means in the lives [of women].”

Pencil Neck I hate to be the one to tell you this, but abortion isn’t as popular as you think it is. This is what happens to you when you live inside a bubble and only have any power insofar as the bluest of the blue idiot California is concerned.
People who pass laws in Alabama DGAF what you think, and would likely do the opposite of whatever you think.
Glad to see Adam is all about preserving our institutions. Like the 10th amendment, and a
deliberative and confidential process.
Moreover, the Democrat ordered nuclear bomb on the SCOTUS process underscores the problem with a court making policy decisions. Courts are meant to decide legal questions between two litigants. That’s it. Two people are in an argument and we settle it in the courts so we don’t have to settle it with duels, family feuds and self-help.
Pencil Neck’s attitude is only acceptable bc we’re talking about putting a legislative question before a court - isn’t a dispute between two litigants, so who GAF if it leaks. Entirely different question if we’re discussing whether a criminal defendant should go to jail, or be executed; If your property or child custody is getting divided in a divorce; or if someone is going to win or lose in a contract dispute, accident, etc.
This ruling, if it is the ruling, will set the reset button on the legislative/judicial divide. It’s desperately needed, and the justices better not fall for the absolute leftist bully tactics that will follow.
These blue haired multi pierced freaks who don’t know what gender they are are turning this into a sideshow. It is imperative that the leaker who apparently is Breyer’s clerk is fired, disbarred and publicly excoriated, if not jailed.
