I guess it depends on the terrorist designation. Trump created a fake war on narco terror and isn't even honest in his application of it when he pardoned the Honduran prez drug kingpin. You guys learned nothing from the old war on drugs on war on terror. It's like we're back to the Dubya era, but the cultists support the action this time because it's in our hemisphere. So dumb.

Actually they have the authority to declare war.
The president can act if he believes it is the national interest to protect the citizens of the United States.
Many presidents have done this over the years. Now whether this fits that narrative is up for debate but the president doesn’t have to have congressional approval for all military actions.
