This is one of the many things that's wrong with politics, the media, and voters.

He did this to raise money and to get his name into the media cycle.

Voters and the media just blindly publish it and talk about.

Any reasonable and prudent person knows a constitutional amendment is not getting passed.

But here we are talking about it.

How about we start with ending tax payer funded hush money for capital hill when they molest women, or men in most of thier cases.

Then we can move on to documents in a locked location with secret service.

They know that most of what Presidents do takes place in Washington DC meaning that is where jurisdiction for any legal action or prosecution would take place.

Washington DC votes 90-95% Democrat and they are not "normal" Democrats but raging liberals who are consumed with political hatred - and that's not just the jury pool but also the prosecutors and judges.

There is ZERO chance of ANY Democrat being convicted of ANYTHING in Washington DC whereas they could arrest and convict a Republican for any made up crime. I've always suspected that John Hinkley's insanity hearing was a show trial to avoid the embarrassment of a DC jury acquitting the man who tried to shoot Reagan when it was caught on film and he admitted to it.

I doubt he passed high school civics if he thinks he could get an amendment passed during the current political climate on anything highly controversial

Should they yes, but what 3 players on the so called right do anything of substance?

I honestly believe their isn't a single dem that wouldn't put a bullet in Trump if they could get away with it.

The reps play govt, the left play for keeps.

Democratic New York Rep. Joe Morelle announced Monday that he will file a constitutional amendment that will virtually invalidate the Supreme Court's recent ruling on presidential immunity.
An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification.

I actually like this instinct.

The constitution is the “supreme law” of the land, not the role of justices to interpret it, or in the case of Democratic appointed justices, to re-write the law, or make it up out of whole cloth.

Argue the merits of Presidential Immunity, and the difference between official acts and private acts, in the public domain and in Congress. That is actual representative democracy, and not judicial fiat.

Remember you Dems, it’s your aptly named “Lawfare” group that is acting as the palace guards of your party, who have exploded this issue into the fore with your decidedly “un-Democratic” abuse of the justice system in prejudicially targeting Trump, his lawyers, his administrators, and his supporters, while simultaneously refusing to hold Dem politicians and activists accountable.

They cannot go in and specifically reverse a particular court decision--I didn't realize that is what you meant. They can, however, change the law underlying said decision such that the decision no longer has precedential value.

I believe he is up for re-election in NY. Where moderates won in 2022.

So this guy is either desperate, following Biden's numbskull lead acting like AOC needing the retard voters that don't even know how many branches of govt we have. Or just plain stupid himself.

Or his papa was born in Hillsville, PA, his granpapa in Youngstown, Ohio... ;and he controls the lucrative Tri County Trash Service in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Yawk.

So he can say as he is told and fuggetbout it.

Good. Let’s force a serious conversation about the consequences one way or the other. Do we want Democrat Presidents to be “above the law” We already know that they would use nefarious powers mor effectively than Republicans.

I agree, good. Let them put there bill on paper and watch how it mimicks SCOTUS nearly word for word once it's done.

A republican should announce that as soon as that Amendment becomes law he will push for Obama to be tried for killing a US citizen without due process.

Will not come out of committee.

If fact, I would shred it, put it a plastic bag and his chair.

AOC is screaming about Impeaching SCOTUS

In her case, stick the plastic bag up her assp

Well, ya see, that’s how it works. SCOTUS interprets the law. Congress passed laws for them to interpret. It’s not their job to “prioritize our democracy”. That’s not the way it was designed to work. Either he’s an idiot or he’s pandering to idiots. Either way……

I'd love to get a constitutional congress together to add some additional amendments, but the Dems don't want to do that with the majority of state legislatures being red. They are wishcasting hard on this SC stuff.
