Maybe swaths of Hollywood aren't allergic to money, after all.

They are definitely allergic to lack of money flowing towards them.

The funny thing is I know plenty of folks who wouldn't be considered conservative that feel the same way.

Not everything has to be Oscar-esque. Most people, regardless of political affiliation, just want a good story and to be able to step away from the world for a bit.

I watch movies, and TV mostly to turn my brain off and be entertained. I'm not fixated on plot issues that much, will comment on them, then move on.

Well you would think Maverick and Cry of Freedom would tip them off.

I don't believe it. I need to see much more before I do. Until JayArrah and his gang of lisped miscreants are on here complaining about how red blooded new movies are

I love that I can post so little and trigger so hard. I'll let the gang know, bro.

And you probably shouldn't believe it.

For one, many people here consider simply hiring people of color and women in front of and behind the camera to be "messaging". They're not saying such hiring will go away, so people like idiot midget will likely keep complaining.

Second, these CEOs are engaging in share-holder speak. They're not talking about entertaining you with the red blooded, rock hard gay pron midget wants. They're much more likely talking about taking fewer creative risks. Fewer and bigger movies. More IP. No risks taken. Not sure who this would actually benefit, but it seems to be what shareholders want to hear.

Wrong...if you took the original things young people like and made new race/gender swapped versions, they would hate it too.

I doubt much of the American audience consumed the One Piece original stuff. The show was pretty A-political and entertaining. Ill watch season 2

I loved that movie. I went in with no expectations and was thoroughly entertained. And Cavill needs to be the next Bond. But that is too obvious so he wont be.

Disney is so busy ruining their own Classics, I confused the two.

Wish was so completely butchered & mangled on purpose it’s impossible to imagine Disney ever recovering.

So what does it even matter?

How about Paramount focus on fixing their dogshit app? You can’t watch anything without multiple crashes and the menu loads so slowly.

I have never encountered this on Paramount+ on Roku in 2+ years.

Odd that they used Twisters as the example. I feel like they forced the girl power hero in this one.
