Holy shite, is that the entry point? If so, that means the round traveled up his forearm and blew out his elbow on exit!

Dude is a straight up ganster. He was calm as sh#t. He probably been playing call of duty for years and when real stuff went down he flipped to first person game mode and was in the zone. I salute you patriot!

I do now!
In that walk through video I posted earlier, the guy replays that shot several times, and you can see his arm explode and shite spray everywhere.
Not sure how he held on to that gun.

You know all these people complain about cops and why can't they shoot a leg, or shoot the gun out of the guy's hand etc etc. Then this 17 year old, under duress, on the ground, not only initially holds fire on a person with their hands up, then disarms the guy when he gets aggressive. Kid was damn impressive.
Also who wears a paramedic hat and first tries to subdue/engage the shooter instead of, I don't know, attempting to render first aid to 2 different gun shot victims. I get that it'd be a little risky to try right in front of skateboard guy if you didn't already have ample evidence that AR kid was just trying to retreat.
Oh well, Mr "Paramedic" tried to be a hero and instead left 2 to die and maybe lost his arm in the process.

Great image.
Damn - you can see just how close the medic was to putting one in Rittenhouse’s head. Look at the gun. It’s almost there.
This dude needs to be the one with Murder 1. He chased the guy down and tried to put a bullet in his skull, after pretending to not be a threat.

The “medic” was not only holding a gun, he was aiming it at him after chasing him down.
frick that guy. This was self defense.
Medic should be charged.

quote:
Seems odd, but it's common. Phenomenon known as "normalcy bias," and it's deadly. People's minds refuse to acknowledge danger when it first presents itself...the mind tries to force the new data into a framework of normalcy [insert "This is fine" gif here], until more data comes in (second or third shots fired), at which point the mind concedes "this is NOT normal" and the body reacts. What's most interesting about this phenomenon is that whatever it is that is described as "your gut" tries to tell your mind that "this is danger." and people tend to squelch that. Hence the phrase, "trust your gut."
Good point.
And war veterans with PTSD often are mentally stuck on “this is not normal” based on how they’ve had to adapt mentally to constant threats. A survival mechanism in combat, dysfunctional back home.
