It's a gimmick to stimulate the economy. You give it to the people who will spend it immediately.

I bet the demographics of this board would lean way more towards high earners than any other group.

Except for Roger that is.

Paying on the debt is a great strategy if you completely ignore the last 60 years of budget policy.

If you didn't see this coming I don't know what to tell you. Trump doesn't give a shite about spending and he's a populist; you should have done the math

Not to mention, exactly how much stuff can anybody be stupid enough to believe that these tariffs can pay for?

We were already told that they would replace income tax and pay the entire debt.

I guess if the cult members are dumb enough to believe those things, why not keep adding to it?

So now we’ll have no debt, no income tax, AND errybody gets cash.

Anybody who believes it, hold your breath. Please.

Solar probably isn't the best example, as they aren't even affordable or make sense for most people, even with tax subsidies. That's not even counting the fact that insurance companies depreciate the replacement cost or drop some people who get them entirely. In short, it's not an industry where a company is willing to invest a ton into building out a manufacturing base here.

It fits Trump perfectly. I said before the election he will stimulate the frick out of the economy to "look good"

Just for shits and giggles I went down the potato chip aisle and soft drink aisle at WalMart of all places. Holy shite at those prices for junk food. Then, went to Publix to pick up the few healthy BOGO’s they offer and really couldn’t believe my eyes at cost of Chips and soft drink aisles which coincidentally at both stores was the most crowded aisle by far. Nobody at the beef section of both and for good reason prices there are insane as well but I have to get meat regardless of price.

What are the chances of this actually happening?

Yep. Most of it gets used to buy future landfill material. Might as well print the money and light it on fire.

I’m probably looking at zero bonus payout due to tariffs (and every one of my items is US Manufactured). Took a giant profit hit before we could pass on the costs to our customers

Sorry, I’ve been assured by several people here that none of that is happening. What you see with your own two eyes must be false just like the data that has been posted that supports it.

Did you argue the same thing when they similarly ruled Biden's student loan forgiveness illegal?

For clarification that’s how I think Trump will react.

I don't disagree with your premise. I just think solar is probably the worst example you could have used.

Stupid

The vast majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck

There are people in middle class neighborhoods that will burn through that money immediately. Whether it's to pay down credit cards or whatever.

Well, if a payment must be done, here’s an idea.

For young people with student loan debt, pay that $2,000 toward their loans.

OR

Influx some cash to SS.

OR

Pay off some national debt.

Your post makes no sense. Why is it the courts' fault that Trump illegally imposed tariffs? They didn't force him to deliberately misinterpret the law.
