Yes, governments threatening to censor journalists isn’t unheard of, even in the US. Actually seizing control of the media and censoring journalists, like what’s happening in Ukraine is unheard of in the US.
As I pointed out earlier, this is your wet dream, to be able to censor information you don’t like.
ETA: The reason you Commies support this is for situations like the Hunter Biden laptop story. Whenever something negative about Democrats comes out you can label it “foreign disinformation” and censor it like the NY Post was censored.
