So if you're black, then you can understand, and even appreciate being stopped by the authorities if they feel concerned about your behavior, huh?

My point is the opposite of this.I don’t represent my entire race. I don’t expect the authorities to treat me like I do.
So if 13% of the population commits over 50% of ALL murders and robberies in America, nobody should be extra careful when encountering one of the 13% in an unsavory place or situation, huh?
Are you gonna tell me that even YOU don't feel trepidation in such an instance...be honest!

Domestic white terrorist

The brazen lawlessness in the US surges higher and higher with every passing day.

Notice how there was practically no mention of the scumbag who shot the cops.

Why would I frequent high crime areas? If I were strolling through the 7th Ward at 3am, of course I’d be nervous. But why would I be in that unsavory place and situation in the first place? I also don’t plan to go to Mecca and flash a crucifix around.

Ever visit Atlanta?..Memphis?..New Orleans?
You get my drift?
What if you're a policeman, and had to deal with all types?
Mam, nobody can always pick the safe place, or the safe time while going through life.
Put yourself in their shoes!

I live a couple miles outside of NOLA. I know what places are a bad idea to visit. I’ve spent time in NYC, Chicago, LA, and it was obvious what areas weren’t great. I avoided those.

I don’t envy this job in today’s climate. Neither do cops and that’s why they’re leaving in big numbers.

Is it just me or is this Mayor Adams guy having to give a speech on this stuff literally every day now?

Ah a Frenchman. His name is French. It means the Shawn.

Yeah but "La" is the feminine form. His parents obviously wanted a girl. This is why he had problems in life and wanted to prove his masculinity by committing murder.

Don't you feel just a small amount of responsibility in regard to changing the racist perception in this country pertaining to law enforcement and the black community?
You DO realize what ethnic group will be damaged most by this escalating resentment and mistrust for the police, right?

2% of the 13% black population committing 50+% of the crime in the U.S. I really do not understand why the law abiding black citizens are not trying to stop this and speak out against this violence.

Really? Do you really expect that from a community that nurtures and feeds it by chronically voting for types such as Latoya, Dollar Bill Jefferson, Jason Williams, Marion Shepilov Barry in D.C. and others like him, - and when he runs for Mayor here next - Oliver Thomas.

The problem is significantly north of "2%."

It's enough to ruin entire school systems, cities, etc.

So you grapple with it.

Of course, the Mayor is blaming the guns
The steady supply of guns is an issue. The gun used in this case was reported stolen in Maryland. The gun used to shoot a cop in NYC last week was reported stolen in South Carolina. I wish the would publish the names and circumstances around th ese "thefts" whenever a gun is used in a crime.

bullshite!!!
What an overused copout!
Firearms have been prevalent in this country for its entire existence!
As a matter of fact, many states with the most firearms per capita have the fewest percentage of firearm involved crimes! Do we blame the car for traffic deaths?...food for the countries obesity?..C'mon, man...use your brain!
